Baokrish character concept: deep voiced, menacing, but soft-spoken. dangerous because you just dont know what he'll do. he could snap at any moment, without any sort of trigger. definitely leaning heavily into this:

"a diver swims too deep, into territory they should not have. a single yellow eye opens and stares, contemplating the tiny creature. should it waste energy teaching this small, stupid thing a lesson? or should it let the terror of being so close to death suffice? the diver certainly doesn't know, but as they see sharp teeth appear from within a massive, gaping maw, they think that the former is what the beast decided."

personality summary: Baokrish does not idly practice his great power. Nor does he hold back when he does. He must be stopped, or else he will make a killing blow. Either by physical means or by someone of higher authority telling him to do so. Practice? Bah. He needs nothing of the sort, he is already so powerful that gembound shudder as his steps rumble the ground beneath him, or when his fins breach the surface of the sea for just a moment, the only warning his prey will get before he lunges. Or at least they should.

He is loyal to a fault, following orders without question and never asking anything for himself. He trusts in his Overseers and Masters, trusting that they will unleash him upon their targets and allow him to become drunk on the taste of blood and the scent of fear. Without an order to kill, however, he is nearly dormant, his gaze heavy as his eyes linger just a second too long on those lesser than him, his every instinct whispering that he disobey, that he sate his primal urge to rend and tear, to rip the life out of the warm bodies that constantly surround him.

He would think, 'God help those who suffer my wrath', but he will help no one. He is God.

Baokrish was silent. Hidden in the mud as he was, he was also nearly invisible, his dark hide allowing him camouflage in the muck of Cetus. He didn't dislike the stink or the slimy texture the entire cave seemed to have, no... he reveled in it. It was dark, disgusting, everything people hated, and so of course, he loved it.

Yellow eyes snapped open and focused on the deer ahead, the deer that had so foolishly picked its way here, right in front of his practically gaping maw. A sacrifice to him, the God of the Sea.

A sick, menacing grin spread across his face, glowing eyes flashing as he lunged, his teeth clamping down as he dragged the thrashing thing into the water. It bleated in vain, spooking its herd, its cries turning to bubbles as he sank beneath the filthy swamp, shaking his head and stirring up more silt and gunk from the bottom. He felt its heart beating in vain, only managing to pump more blood out of the lesser's weakening body, the taste of copper filling his open mouth.

Eyes widened and adrenaline filled his very veins, making him thrash harder and bring his forelimbs up to tear the poor thing apart. Piece by piece it was devoured, its pathetic, weak body providing him with strength.

Above the water, it was like the deer had never existed, the swamp silent, hiding the monster lurking beneath it.

A deer's head floated to the top of the water, eyes lifeless, its mouth open and its expression one of pure terror. In an instant, it too was devoured, and all was still.

Can you keep this character active? Yes!

OOC Name: Cicada
Baokrish character concept: not at all subtle. Self-confident almost to the point of arrogance, and revels in its own chaos. It is the best of the best, it knows this, and it is utterly devoted to the Creator's cause to the point that it rejects other valkhounds' points of view. They're so obviously WRONG, they should be ASHAMED of themselves, and it'll HELP THEM LEARN. THROUGH PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE!!! Strength is everything, and since it's strong (both in physicality AND IN MIND! —it thinks, anyway), it can do ANYTHING IT WANTS TO THE UNAWESOME PEEPS. It disdains even Draconua, her violence being much too predictable for its chaotic tastes. Its antics range from that of a simple schoolyard bully, to jumpscares, and of course to being the ABSOLUTE BEST AND AWESOMEST AT COMMITTING WAR CRIMES. Flowers? GET THOSE FLOPPY THINGS OUT OF ITS SIGHT. Unless—it has thorns and venom and will get Dhracia to praise it if it brings her some? Huge Dhracia fanboy. She's next to the Creator in the level of reverence it holds for them. Often talks like a valley girl. Big show-off, wants to out-show off every other valkhound to prove that it is the MOST awesome. You know the kid that does like 50 push-ups or pacers after everyone else has stopped, and then won't ever stop bragging about it? THAT'S IT.

"BAOKRISH?" the beast screeched, every fin on its body quivering with indignant dismay. "THAT'S A STUPID NAME! The name of an unintelligent BRUTE! I'm, like, a GENIUS!!! I AM AWESOME IN EVERY CONCEIVABLE WAY, PHYSICALLY AND SMARTNESS-WISE！！！”

It opened its jaws wide in a fierce roar, one that it would swear shook the very walls of the cave. Ugh, it wished Mr. Purple Dumbass over there could come underwater and see it. REALLY SEE IT, IN ALL ITS AWESOME GLORY. Ugh, just jump into the water already, brute—!

Instead, it had to resort to bragging. NOT that this was a burden in any way; as if it wouldn't seize any opportunity it could to show off! "I'm the TERROR OF THE SEA!" It lashed its tail, zooming through the water and wishing with every fiber of its being that there had been a conveniently placed redfang to tear apart and turn the water red. "I am the BLACK TIDE OF DEATH, the SINKER OF A THOUSAND SHIPS, the CONQUEROR OF THE DARK WATERS, and the BIGGEST BRAIN VALKHOUND THERE IS! MUCH smarter than whoever this BAOKRISH idiot is!" Look at it, it'd even made up like five titles off the top of its head! Vargas'd had CYCLES, and ONE was the best he could come up with? BAH.

Baokrish character concept:

You ever see a show where they feed alligators?
You ever see that with a giant valkhound?
Baokrish is bound to be a brute, beginning off with untamed chaos directed to innocent lessers and whatever's thrown at it. A giant, watery garbage disposal, if you will. Most of its meals get wasted into bits that aren't enough to be eaten- if it wanted to eat, it'd just swallow its food whole. It's childish, in that manner. Give a teenage boy the body of a giant monster, and he'd try to become the next Godzilla.
And, oh, how it'll love to give into those chaotic urges at first, delighting in them. Given the word, it would tear out the floodgates like a boulder, aiming to destroy everything in its path. Until then, it stews, waiting for the next opportunity to cause problems.

Essentially, the giant tank in the party that has all the aggro boosting spells and pulls too many mobs for its dps to handle. Definitely more focus on the physical path- more bruising/bone breaking with its bulk rather than scratching or lacerating.

Baokrish is a beast, with its title aptly earned. God of the Sea. While it doesn't particularly hold love in its heart, it certainly enjoys murky, dark waters, looming and stalking with its enormous bulk, ready to take a kill in one bite. That's primarily what makes it up- a basic creature, who wants to survive. And what else would be better for it other than the oceans?

It regards other valkhounds and the Forge as creatures to study. It's a tandem desire that brings it to this- it wishes to develop further into both the unstoppable force and immovable object, while also keeping an eye out on what the others are capable of. It doesn't trust them, doesn't trust anyone to not have some hidden scheme under their words.

As it expects the negativity from others, it gives it to them in the same way. Its words are sharp, and while it never issues direct threats, it certainly does not want someone else to underestimate it. Metaphors are useless in its vocabulary. If it wants to tell you something, it will speak bluntly.

It has a wavering respect for authority. It will listen, and it will do its tasks- but often it will do them as brutally as it can, even if given the direction of subtlety. The strength it has deserves to be used, and it will be, especially if left idle for too long.

Baokrish hissed.

The rivers of Pegasus were shallow. Much too shallow- and everything here was soft. It hated it here- it hated Draco, too, but it had yet to learn of any other form of cave- unluckily for it. Instead, it had stewed- it'd been left alone for about an hour now, and as it waited for its trainer to come back, it had grown bored.

Bored enough to begin to eye the lessers surrounding the river. Ahead was a deeper looking section- if it could get its belly from scraping the ground, it could attack from there, drown the meadow deer, and impress the authorities. Yes. Its gold tongue flicked out as it grinned savagely, heaving its bulk forward into deeper water. Dark ridges breached the surface, and nothing helped to hide the incoming monster. It didn't care. It wanted to kill something, and its eyes turned to the largest deer of them all, just as they were beginning to back away from the water.

That would not save them. Hissing gutturally, Baokrish slowed to a halt just before the shore, staring to the white forms from beneath the waves. They were moving away, and it needed to strike now, before it lost the chance.

With a spray of water, Baokrish used all of its muscles to lunge out of the water, snapping for the nearest flesh it could find.

Can you keep this character active? Yep! (I have a buncha money stashed onto Elroy for them)

That said, I wanted to say this was a REALLY hard choice. I really liked all of the apps, and they would have all made absolutely fantastic characters :| You guys legit made it super hard to pick. Thank you!!
