It's going to take forever for Verdant to cast spells just bear with me--

VERDANT

and then the universe screamed

Nebulas. Stars. Solar eclipses elapsed one after the other. Verdant now coiled around the skull of a new star, one that didn't have it's core supernova by their own failure of magic. It was delicious.

But the vessel had drifted to a new stretch of galaxy, guided partially by their mismatched spells. One filled with different chemical signatures than before. Different comets graced the sky. One smelled of strawberries, though they didn't know what those were. Verdant was curious. What was this place?

The rat nibbled at old bones at the foot of the carnival. Meanwhile, Verdant pulled out his third sense to see what other nebulas he could detect. But he saw nothing, and assumed this place was an empty track of space.

Thread Objective: Use magic to sneak into the fair and steal popcorn hehe

VERDANT

and then the universe screamed

Alright, so if nothing else was here it was basically free reign, right? And Verdant wanted to explore. What could possibly be here that could cause their star to send such odd pheromes?

But first was the problem of getting it to move. You see, stars are finicky business. They move on their own accord, much to the worm's frustration. They could try a powerful spell, a neutron star, but the last time they did they exploded their host's brain. Not good. They had to start small and use their wits to get it where it wanted.

They wormed through the gray matter of their home. First step: how do they aim where to go. Verdant stood very still. Sometimes, they knew, they would feel shifts from the host as it moved, often towards directions that stimulated its neurons. They knew air vibrations stimulated the neurons. More so, if they concentrated very hard they could sense a vague sense of stimulation coming from one place. The entrance to the fair, jingling with bells and honks, but they didn't know that. They just knew it was a point of interest.

Small steps, they knew. Let us start with a simple spell. They threw the sound of somthing-- it wasn't like they had the ears to hear what it was. It probably sounded like clanging pots. Regardless, the aggressive Pitch Rat perked up at the sound of potential prey and scurried after it, sending the worm rocking in its braincase. It scratched at the area in confusion, now somewhat down the path. Where did the sound go? But Verdant was pleased.

Progress: Verdant's host is now partway through the Carnival entrance tunnel
