One head moved forward with a fish just barely hanging out of its mouth. It threw the fish up and snapped it up eagerly, licking its lips with a happy rumble.
Upon the child's bearing of the fish, they simply smiled, eyes crinkling in amusement.
Morganoth's legs touched the bottom and soon they were walking to shore, their whole body shaking to rid themselves of water, though the head Renasci took refuge on remained still. They walked forward, heaving along the beach towards a massive alcove in the cliffs, where Morganoth had dug a nest to call home. Hopefully Renasci would find it satisfactory as well.
Bright eyes track the fish as Morganoth tosses- and catches - it with their teeth. Ren would clap if they had an open set of hands, so instead they settle for buzzing their wings in glee and giggling around their mouthful of wiggling fish.
Some instinct encourages them to grab that fish, again, and they tilt their head back and forth before sinking their canines into the creature right behind it's skull - and a small pop precedes the fish falling still. They huff through their nose, and do the same to the other fish they've got, so now this almost toddler looking bird baby is double fish-ting while sitting on the snout of an eldritch dragon-god, and eyes the sand with some obvious distrust.
Looming cliffs then catch their attention, and they tilt their head back to look up, and up- and then they state, "I hetched more up than those." with a sort of proud awe. "Can stay with Moremore?"
@Morganoth
Morganoth watched as Renasci massacred the fish, matching expressions of 'what the fuck' written over each face. Hopefully Renasci didn't catch that as they dumped them into their nest. It was soft inside, lined with animal pelts and explosions of bird feathers. The cave had a rather nice hoard of shinies at the back, but one of Morganoth's tails moved to cover it in case Renasci decided to steal some.
There's an odd noise as Ren tumbles into the nest, a mix between a cat-like 'mrrrrp?' and some sort of parrot like warbling call, which quickly changes into giggles as the small hatchling takes note of how big the comfy area is, and they they have both fish and their shard clasped in a foot.
Renasci shifts in place, letting go of the sardonyx, and then getting carefully to their feet with some determined grunting and a fluttering of wings, luckily missing the confusion over Morganoth's faces. They step out of the softer area, looking for someplace flat and not-so-soft, since another instinct is reminding them not to eat where you sleep. "I eet here, then. I stop the fish from moving, h'm not big enough to eat in one bite. Gonna get big though. sometime. Big as you?"
As small being do, they swing from confident to questioning within a single sentence, and plop down again to lean against the nearest part of Morganoth they can reach, tracking the tail covering... something, and they stare for a few seconds, and chew thoughtfully. They then point, of course with the fish they took a massive bite from, and ask, "What that?" with their mouth full.
@Morganoth
Morganoth flicked their tails up to rest against their hoard,
They were extremely protective of it, enough so that if they saw anyone else touching it they'd probably freak out.
Morganoth believed themselves to be one of the largest things in the caves. If not for... ugh... Draconua, they guessed they'd be the largest by far.
