(( Anyone is welcome to come and practice their magic here ))

With the precious little Pounce in tow, she watched him carefully, leading him on to safe spots with her pretty dancing lights that were starting to putter out. She led him to a relatively dry area that was protected from the annoying water traps that so commonly tripped you up and splashed mud everywhere when you fell.

"Would you say that this is a good place to practice, sweet?" She said, going over to the child and tussling its fur with her nose. "I will try to make it a little brighter for you to play."

As easy as breathing, she brought forth more of those bobbling wisps that slowly brightened up the edges of the somewhat dry clearing. The fog burned away at the edges, and all was clear inside the circle.

"Much better." She nodded. As she used this spell more and more often, it hardly made her tired at all. She was getting better at casting lights, and it made her incredibly happy, but...she couldn't help but vaguely wish to create something more... useful. She couldn't manipulate anything around her like other creatures could.

She shook the jealous thoughts away and smiled at Pounce. "Now, go on, sweet."

"This is how I speak."

Soft padded feet followed the ethereal being in tow. A smile as wide as he could manage. He was happy and at peace with his friend who seemed to have taken up the role of guardian. Occasionally he was caught drifting a second or two behind. Dancing in the mud puddles along the way, until she had led him to a dry and safe place. With muddy feet he patted the dry ground, bits flaking off on impact; this was perfect! He didn't mind such muddy terrain it was fun to stomp through! But maybe it was harder for her to manage? She did have different feet than him. Staring at her hooves his face shot up to her soft voice.

Practice? Yes practice sounds like fun! He will be able to chase again! Maybe even shoot out more of that zap-zap if he can figure out how he did it before! And within a moments notice the ethereal being had made it bright again! Fog retreating and again leaving the cub in awe!

'Now, go on, sweet.'

That was all he needed and off he went like a shot! Running through some nearby ferns and around a neighboring tree he was determined on chasing down one of the dancing lights. Only to stop dead in his tracks and turn around with a grin, looking up and examining how tall this tree REALLY was. It couldn't be THAT tall could it? What was it even like to be tall! He had to know RIGHT NOW! After all it could help him pounce on a few of these lights from above!

"I'M GOING TO CLIMB THIS TREE!" he said with such certainty! Backing up he got a running start! Jumping into the air and grabbing the tree with his tiny paws he smiled and 'roared' loudly! Though what to him sounded like a mighty roar, only came out as a 'rroow', a very small and tiny 'rroow'.

Hastily he ascended the tree, only to look down and grow very much aware of how high up he was. Looking to his left he could see his friend, was she really this tall? How could she handle this!! He was barely looking her in the eye and he was shaking! With kind words of encouragement he slowly but surely began sliding down the tree's trunk. Sound of ripping bark humming throughout as he made his wide eyed descent.

From a distance, a little crow perched on a rock, watching the lights created by the deer. She hadn't seen a creature do it before - in fact the crow had already guaranteed that she was the only one who could. She was wrong.

In a way, she was disappointed. In another way, she was happy. Yet most of all, she was hesitant.

There was an extremely loud black-cat following her. He exclaimed that he was going to climb a tree, and she only hoped that it wasn't The Tree he intended to climb. No matter, however. She slowly sprawled her wings and lifted herself up into the air, weighed down by the moonstone on her talon.

As quietly as possible she flew closer, landing on a root in the marsh. She wasn't that far, now, eyes locked on the white deer for a moment before she watched the black-cat sucessfully climb a tree that - fortunately - did not appear to be the Divine.

She gave the faintest of squawks, looking back to the doe.

She trotted after Pounce when it announced quite loudly that it was going to climb the tree. She watched it carefully, saying as much that it should watch out for decaying bark that would let it slip and fall, but it managed on its own quite well! She was very proud, and laughed lightly at its cute roar. "How mighty you are, Pounce! I'm quaking in my hooves!" She came up to it slowly, and nuzzled its nose with hers. "Good job, my sweet. Now, I guarantee you can make it down just as easily, now can't you? You just have to be careful, now." She told him what to watch out for, saying kind words of congratulation, for Pounce was managing much more than she did when she had just hatched!

She turned down and surveyed the clearing, wondering if she should direct it to try hunting for its food, when something dark against the endless white fog caught her eye.

"Oh!" A crow, a winged thing like the Bevy, was watching her. "Hello," She bowed deeply and politely. "We are practicing here, if you would like to join in." She turned to Pounce. "Look, a new friend! Go and introduce yourself, sweet. And be polite."

"This is how I speak."

Happily he landed on the soft dry ground below! Claws still out, picking up each paw and consciously sheathing each one away he smiled! What a rush! What fun! He would be sure to climb again! It was like he was made for such feats! Though he stared back at his ethereal friend. Maybe she was so tall cause she couldn't climb tree? Is that why they had different feet?

She gave an 'oh' of exclamation and he tilted his head expectantly up to her. She was talking to someone, but not to him? Who was it? Turning around he looked out to the fog. He didn't see much? Maybe a dancing light or two passing by, until something moved slightly just outside. She had explained there was a new friend! So they much be nice! Even if he couldn't see much of them! New friends are always nice! Right?

With seemingly boundless energy he wiggled over, his small body hardly able to contain the excitement! And with his loud and as always excited voice he yelled!

"H-Hi! H-Hoo are you!! Vould you like to play!"

Almost out of instinct the bird inclined her head politely. Not many had been deliberately nice to her the second she showed up - Giggle had stalked her. Krakarak screamed in her face. Dragon-... well, she forgot what Dragon did, and Ghanyarah threatened her to get out his tree, and then led her to the Divine. She was unsure if she even knew anyone else.

"Hello," rasped the crow. "I'm Eve-- what are you practising?"

She looked over to the black-cat, who seemed to have trouble seeing her in the thick fog of Cetus. She fluffed up her feathers for a moment, concentrating - she expected to feel a familiar warmth, yet nothing happened. Perhaps she was worse at this than she thought.

No matter - the black-cat seemed to see her ruffle her feathers anyway. She watched the jaguar bound over with endless energy that could only be held by a newborn (honestly, Eve couldn't even remember the last time she felt well-rested and energized) and she flinched when he shouted.

"P-play?" stammered the crow, confused.

@Clover
(Clover gave me permission to continue without her while she is at work so Vicktor can play!)

Listening to who he knew as Eve now he could only tilt his head when they questioned his words. 'P-play' didn't they know how to play? Or was each creatures life different than another's. Looking back to his ethereal friend he deemed so, and he would be sure to keep that in mind even if he was confused by it all.

"Play! Like games! Running an-and jumping! Catching things!! Catching friends?" He tried to give an example of each, wondering if he could still do all these things in such a short matter of time! He may fumble over himself though, but it was worth it for his new friend!

He took off like a bolt running and jumping after one of the dancing lights. Smiling and looking over to where he had previously seen a bit of Eve. "Catching like this!!" Jumping into the air and successfully grabbing the small glowing orb between his paws and landed with a bit of an oomph.

"Catching friend? Play with friend?" Opening his paws he watched the dancing light float away freely. Turning back to Eve he smiled! Maybe they would come closer and play!

She laughed at the energetic Pounce playing around and introducing himself quite loudly and cutely. She made her way calmly to the pretty crow named Eve made a more intricate bow, bending one front leg at the knee and extending one leg forward. "Hello Eve," She said, eyes demurely down on the ground. "This here is little Pounce, who just woke up a little while ago. Pounce is very energetic, and we are here to practice magic, or hunting, or playing, or whatever we'd like to."

She stood up gracefully and smiled at the Eve, noticing little Pounce going after more of her dancing lights. "You are most welcome, whatever you'd like to do. I'm trying to teach the little one to hunt, since he is of the kind to do so. As for me, it wouldn't hurt to try out more magicks."

"You can call me whatever you'd like, by the by. I don't have a name." She heard Pounce happily scream behind her, and turned around to watch.

She tried casting something for it to play with once more, and wondered if it would fail miserably. It was a rather intricate spell, and she'd only used it once.

She gathered the spell up inside of her, focusing, imagining the workings and movements to create a believable illusion, but when her focus was too much, too taut, it snapped, and she lost the gathered image and the magic in her mind. She laughed at herself quietly and shook it off. She could always try again. Perhaps with something smaller.

"This is how I speak."

The crow tilted her head. She was bad with coming up with names for things, so she thought for a moment; harder than she'd thought before. She even turned her head to briefly pick at a little scab that nestled between her feathers. She lifted her head as she proudly announced, "Pearl!"

She nodded and then looked to the pouncing jaguar. She wasn't one for hunting, really, in fact she was quite bad at it. Instead, she decided to try and summon more light for the cub to chase. "I can help, I think," murmured Eve, moonstone talon glinting a brilliant blue-white as a silvery-yellow orb formed in front of her.

Keeping her eyes on the orb, it floated over towards Vicktor, shifting one way, and then the other in an attempt to grab his attention.

________________

Looking up to his ethereal friend he could see her concentrate, but nothing appeared. It was ok! He would chase the dancing lights! Slowly stalking and failing to catch it in time as it rose from the ground! "Pearl! Pearl!" He repeated Eve with enthusiasm. Pearl was a very nice word, he pondered on what it could mean. But that did not last very long.

Eye widened at the notice of a brilliant silvery-yellow orb rolling in front of him. Flattening his body he giggled, it was so pretty! Fur bristled he was so excited he couldn't even say a word! His new friend Eve was playing! Wiggling his butt he exhaled what only could be described as an excited sigh. Was there even such a thing? Well if nobody knew of it, Vicktor sure brought it to their attention now!

Small flecks of what seemed to be light bolted from his fur. Vanishing as soon as they had emerged from his bristled pelt! He was so excited he clearly could not contain what was bubbling inside! And like a shot he was off and after that pearl! Repeating the word of his new toy and even directed laughter, over and over again. Fumbling over his feet at every sharp turn as it was kept JUST out of his reach.
