Vakornol sat down and the fur along Eurydome's spine bristled briefly as she watched, but she continue to lick the beads of golden blood away from her fur. 'Sure thing' and that was it, some two thousand years of rivalry was put on hold for an indefinite amount of time.
Or, two thousand and 'some millenia.'
The gladiator cracked half a smile at Vakornol's statement. Some millenia was certainly longer than she imagined, but it wasn't uncommon for fighters to stay in their chrysalises for extended amounts of time during lulls in necessary entertainment. Things needed done elsewhere in the caves, after all.
But that would be the end of the story if Eurydome had fell asleep in Orion. As it was,
Her gaze lifted. Where was Jupiter? What had happened with her-- with the rebellion?
Eurydome shifted uncomfortably.
