A spotlight crashes down upon a singular stone, lumpy and smooth. Within this stone, a new life stirs from drifting dreams, eyes blinking open for the very first time. Though inside is quite dark, the shades of blue swim through the child's vision, light barely piercing through.

Maybe this is where clo first gets clou inspiration, this primal urge to reach out and claw toward the blue. Clo barely understands at first, moving more on instinct and a desire for air that clo simply does cannot truly know until clou first breath.

The stone cracks in the quiet, rarely used tunnel. That sound carries, echoing in both directions: toward Canis where it will be swallowed by the empty dust, and toward Gemini, where it may scatter and bounce among more surfaces than a child could even begin to comprehend. To the little cub who is just hatching, the sound of stone breaking is like thunder.

"Woawh!" Clou own voice gurgles from a fluid filled throat as clo tumbles out on to the cold, flat stone of the tunnel, landing on clou back. Clo winces, three oversize paws swimming slow and awkward at the open air. "Blech." Clou tongue clicks on the rough of clou mouth, spitting out the remnants of fluid to taste more of the open, fresh air. The cub's pelt, damp, shutters against the cool of the caves.

With some effort, clo manages to twist on to clou belly, though trying to stand is a more difficult process. A clumsy child may have some difficulty on their own, but clo is limited already: where another forelimb should be to aid in this process, clo has a chunk of stone that slips against the floor. "Mrf," clo grunts, "grrrf!" Oh, but there, slowly! Slowly clo gets the tripod of limbs underneath clou, wobbling uncertainly upright.

Now comes the most difficult part yet... Processing where clo is, and... What this world has in store for clou.
