"Woah! I wanna be chive-al-us! And all those other things!" He shouted. Well, he WOULD have to be all those things, if he was a knight! Woah, that was a lot of responsibility... He was ready for that, though! Probably! Hopefully! If it was all as easy as dealing with the bug, he'd have it down.

"My name's Cyneweard!" He said. It wasn't as long or as impressive as 'Prince Ruvaen Silvertongue' but it was HIS name, so that made it a GOOD name.

”Then repeat after me,” Ruvaen said, puffing out his chest.

”I, Cyneweard, devote myself to my Prince in everything I am. Body, mind, and loyalty. I will protect him, fight for him, and if necessary, risk my life for him,” he said, pausing to let the other repeat what he said.

”I will be a brave and noble knight! I will help those in need second to my duties to my prince and fight for what is right! I will be a shield, a sword, and will keep my prince's counsel, to stand by his right hand until my last breath.”

Ruvaen pressed the stick down, enough so that there was pressure, but not that it would hurt. ”You vows, Cyneweard, will bind you to me. But I vow in return that I will not abuse you or your loyalty to me. If you were to wish to leave, I would allow you to do so. I am not an unjust prince, after all.”

He'd nod solemnly, his head bowing but not hiding the giddy grin spread across his muzzle. His ears twitched as he listened to Ruvaen speak, trying to memorize the words he was supposed to repeat. I- Cyneweard!- devote myself to my Prince in everything I am. Body, mind, and loyalty. I will protect him, fight for him, and if necessary risk my life for him. Wow! That was... kind of intense! It was a lot more serious then just bugs. He could handle it though! He was a tough knight, now!

"I will be a very brave and very noble knight! I will help those in need second to my duties to my prince and i'll fight for what is right! He'd take a deep breath at the end- either breathlessness from talking so much or the gravity of this oath finally hitting him. Probably the first one, though, because he was too thick-headed to realize the potential consequences of his actions of his actions until he's hit in the head with them.

He instinctively looked up as the stick settled on his shoulder, his gaze meeting Ruvaen's. He hadn't even thought of the idea of his knightly oath being used against him like that, but he sure was glad Ruvaen wasn't going to do that! Yeah! Ruvaen would be a good prince! And Cyneweard was going to be a GREAT knight!

"Yeah!" He'd pause. "Uhm, what do I do now?"

Ruvaen grinned and pulled his 'sword' away, instead pointing it off into the distance.

"We train! Grab a sword or something, I won't have a knight who can't use a sword," he said, charging off into the fields of Cepheus with a series of joyful giggles and shrieks.

He ran out into the middle of a field, scaring away a herd of deer accidentally. He turned around to where Cyneweard was and brandished his sword one-handed, the other on his hip. While his pose was good, it was very clear he'd never even laid a hand on a sword.

"Have at thee!" he said, swishing the branch through the air once before returning to his pose.
