"I think so," she answered casually, though the thought was sort of interesting. As for the shiny object-? She dropped a little lower, head tilting to one side. "Careful," she warned; "it might be dangerous!"

Acheron's tone, though, was anything but worried. She sounded excited, which she was--what sort of adventure might they run into? What if it was a mysterious creature, something ancient and hidden; or a magical object, long-lost? What if it was something that'd grant them a wish, or-...

Her mind ran wild, and after a moment she blinked and realized she'd slowed too much. Geis had pulled ahead, and hastily, Acheron scrambled (as quietly as she could) to catch up.

"What is it?" she whispered eagerly, her gaze for the moment blocked by his back.

When no response immediately came, the sense of being spooked got the better of her. Poltergeist was nowhere to be seen--and she found herself slipping away, stalking off between the rocks. What a prank, indeed.
