"As I was born, so I forgot," Mossie said, shrugging the best a cat could shrug while paddling through warm seas. "For example, I told you guys my name was Mossie twice because I forgot I told you already. I don't know what the deal with that is, but is what it is."
"How shall we find out?" Mossie ponders aloud. "Perhaps...they're hiding in the water! And we need to get more of them punchable rocks and go MMMM YESS Destruction Occuring At A Pebbly Beach Near You to lure everyone out!"
@Manticore
"Pebbles and paddles!" she exclaims, momentarily too startled to remember to keep swimming. As she began to sink, she squeaked with surprise before rapidly splashing back to shore, following Manticore.
Destruction was not so fun when it was directed at Her Bestie! That was very rude of his shoulder, really.
"Bad shoulder!" She yowled, following Manticore's lead. "Very Bad Shoulder! You alright, buddy?" She quickly races to comfort him the only way she knows how, scraping up more rocks.
@Manticore
Mossie gasps, tremendously dismayed. This simply could not stand! Her Bestie Number One was counting on her to get those rocks. As the oldest, and Obviously the mightiest, duty fell to her to obliterate them and avenge her friends.
Out of nowhere, she felt a surge of powerful energy ripple through her, but it had no outlet from which to escape. She paced, frustrated, a sharp growl rippling from her throat, before approaching the pile of stones with claws unsheathed. She took a deep breath, raised her paws high, and prepared to strike them into the water...
@Manticore
And her aim struck true. The weakest pebble under her paws shattered, while the pile itself scattered , clattering into the water with a loud splash. She whooped with triumph, jumping about and doing a silly little dance while stoutly ignoring the fact that her paw now hurt like a bitch.
"Take that, you stupid rocks!" She cheered. "I AM SUPERIOR!"
"This is All Cave," she announced. "Big, big cave. Lots of tunnels! I was born in a different place, one far away...I forgot how I got here." She pauses, brow furrowed with thought, as she tried to recall the details of her birthplace. It already seemed so far away, though she'd been there just the other day, right? Time was like a liquidy syrup, sloshing this way and that and all sticky in her mind.
"It was so pretty...there were huge crystals, like the rocks we've got! Glowing in all sortsa colors! Twinkling mushrooms, fungi that I could feel kinship with. And a bunch of water running through the ground like it'd been carved by some giant claw! So much water, kind of like this one..."
She sits down, contemplating.
"That place was nice," she hummed. "And there were...others. In there I felt this spark, energy that made me feel powerful...and hungry." She pricked her ears, recalling the surge from a moment before.
"Should we look for destruction? Answers? Destruction AND answers? Because I have so many questions."
