Cascade was on the hill grazing away at the grass that grew there. She loved grass, it was very delicious stuff. Not only was it tasty but essential to her diet. She was a capybara after all. Cepheus was a very classy room to be in, especially with the palace in all its glory. Cascade felt at peace as she ate to her heart's content. The caves were a wonderful place to live in and the capybara couldn't imagine being born anywhere else. The caves held magic, and at the same time it held life. Magic and life that could speak to all the gembounds of the cave. So much was in this home of hers. She was grateful for that.
While she was sticking mostly to the Palace for now, it should be noted she was most definitely NOT hiding out there. Absolutely not. She was just resting until she felt strong enough to continue her blight—er, lightbringing to the other caves. Same old haunts. No big deal.
When she wanted to stretch her wings Nemean would fly the Palace grounds, but today she ventured over the river to check out the everblooming tree. As interesting as it was, her fluttering shape hovered in the air to watch a strange rat-pig creature eat grass. Of all things!
"Hey!" she called, buzzing around the floral limbs of the tree until she was in better view. "Are you just eating grass!? Hah!" Gembounds could be so primitive! And unfortunately for this one, it caught Nemean in a bored mood.
@Cascade
Cascade was interrupted from her grazing by a voice from up above. She lifted her head to see a small pretty feline like creature fluttering above with pretty wings. Cascade knew who that was, it was the great master Nemean. She had heard tales of Nemean and what she looked like. But to see her in the flesh was an honor. Cascade spoke her British accent clear in her voice.
"Why you must be Nemean! You look absolutely pretty and flawless! Your looks surpass any gembound I have ever met. I am Cascade, and what is known as a capybara. I'm supposed to eat grass. Its a part of my diet. It is a great privilege for me to see you up close!" Cascade wasn't offended by Nemean's words. Cascade would never disrespect the great master of the caves that Nemean was.
@Game Master CJ
It was not the reaction Nemean might have expected, but the praise had her leaning onto her side, still hovering in mid-air. "O-oh? So you've heard of me?" she said slyly, stretching out her legs and playing with the bow on her chest. "I mean, of course you have! Well, that's right, it is a privilege!" A glittering display of glowing particles burst around her as she struck a cute pose, puffing up her cheeks with her tiny paws. The rest of the information was lost on her: grass, diets, blah blah blah. Those weren't real words.
"Well uh, what else have you heard about me then? Hmm?" she prompted, though she could absolutely care less about any real issues: she was only looking for compliments and vailidation.
@Cascade
Cascade could see that Nemean really appreciated the compliments. Cascade really meant what she said, it was the truth. Cascade idolized Nemean, Astraea, and Tenzin. She thought them to be the best. When Nemean asked what else she had heard about her, Cascade spoke proudly.
"I heard that you have powerful light magic. I really idolize you." Cascade thought for a second and decided to ask Nemean a question.
"If you don't mind I have a question. In Orion everything was crumbled. What did Orion used to be? It seems that creatures lived there." Cascade knew that if anyone knew about Orion, it would be one of the masters, like Nemean.
@Game Master CJ
"Of course I have powerful light magic! I'm the light master, you know." But Cascade surely knew that, right? Yeah. Nemean let a glimmering show of sparkles envelope her in a show of absolute narcissism. She was the best. It was all about her. That's right. And those foolish enough to try and attack her again, to try and trap her again...! She clenched a tiny fist.
"Pfft, Orion?" she grumbled, settling onto a tree limb to sit, crossing her legs. "That's where some of us lived, the grunts mostly. We'd fight them in the arena for sport, and to see what designs were the strongest. If they were really good, we'd see how they faired in Hydra." She waved a tiny hand as if the topic were boring. "Pfft, yeah, Orion sucked. The real living was in Cassiopeia." Her tiny hands clapped together. "Yeah, that was the stuff! What ever happened to that place..." her voice trailed off in wonder and she lost the topic.
"Anyway, yeah we housed some guys in Orion. Basic shacks kind of town. Nothing too fancy. I got a shack there, too! HEY! I wonder what my golem has been up to..." her voice faded again and her eyes trailed upward. Damn, she really hated being taken out of the game. What was this, like the third time!? She clenched a tiny fist again and silently dared the entirety of all the worthless gembounds to try that shit again. (You know, as she ignored the fact it was aided by anyone substantial. It was the gembounds fault!)
