Sufficiently buried, Galleon froze beneath the sand. She needed to track Rex, after all. His movements left little spots of vibrations. It was strange, he wasn't moving too much. Was he preparing for her attack? Galleon let out the start of a devious little chuckle, one that ended soon as the sand flooded her mouth. With an inward groan, she snapped her tail, twisting herself until she was ready to launch out at the dinosaur. And launch out she did. Galleon exhaled, propelling herself upwards, fin flexed out.
Galleon burst from the sand with a spray of it, both from her mouth and around her. It wasn't as fast as she could go, given she was distracted by sand mouth, but it was enough. She launched headfirst into Rex, bowing him over with their combined weight. She guffawed openly as she rolled away. Now this was fun! But that was strange--it felt too easy. Was he going easy on her? "Dont be afraid to go all out, yhear? Ah, no biting, though! Got a bit of poison on me!"

He hadn't realized just how off-balance his brace attempt was until Galleon's full weight slammed him. Being side-on, as it turned out, had been unwise--best, perhaps, to face his opponents head-on in the future. As it was he went flying, slamming down with massive legs waving in the air, the breath knocked from his lungs.
SHIT!
Well this was terrifying!
It took him a moment to get back to his feet: a stumbling, flailing, clumsy moment where sand cascaded down his flanks and dust rose up around him, claws kicking with futility.
Eventually he was up again, shaking himself like a dog and blinking. Oh--she's talking, he realized, struggling to register what she'd said. Then he laughed. "I told you I've never fought!" and it was a humorous tone. He was sure proving it!
But--no biting?! That's all he had! Teeth! Big jaws! His tiny puny stupid little front limbs couldn't do anything to help him! And they were about even in their weight... but then again, maybe it was best not to get bitten by her teeth. Warily, he eyed them again. They looked like jagged stones.
With a grunt he resorted to clumsy brute force: a rush across the sand, hoping to slam into Galleon and knock her down before she could get out of his way, body low and sort of sandy.

As Rex rushed at her Galleon didn't move, her rictus hiding a true grin. Galleon's laugh was cut off with an unceremonious 'oof' as Rex knocked her off balance. She began to roll again, fins and tail flailing wildly. "Y'seem to me like you're learning pretty fast rookie!" Before she was knocked out of reach, her flailing gained purpose. She threw her energy into a full body tail slap, aiming to knock Rex off balance once again. With that attack she'd knocked herself even further off balance, tumbling further than Rex's headbutt alone would've sent her.

"Oho? Letting me approach?" Galleon rasped.
He did seem to be learning quickly, or trying to at least, despite Galleons efforts being mostly to entertain herself. Galleon gnashed her teeth in excitement. Fine, she would bite. A frontal assault to see what Rex was planning. What he could do. The land shark swung herself onto her belly with one great heave, her fins working to rebury herself. Then with a great inhale she charged like a whistling missile.

He'd sidestepped her? Galleon's eyes widened in surprise. But more than that, a trickle of pride. "Aha, nice!" Galleon called as she turned herself into a short drift. "You're catchin on quick!"
As Rex rushed forward in a headbutt Galleon cackled. It was inexperienced, obvious, but a good effort. With a burst of air and a slam of her tail, she twisted sharply in an attempt to take Rex's headbutt head-on. She realized too late that she had misjudged, aiming lower as his head came up. She was wide open, and took the headbutt to her side. Pain mixed with joy and pride, and she clacked her teeth heavily in a warped attempt of a clap. "HA! Better'n I thought!" She boomed.
