Opal strode into Orion like it owned the place, unshakable confidence in the clack of claws, as if they were heels against cobble. He was gaslighting, gatekeeping and girlbossing, and it made sure everyone within its immediate radius knew it.

Was it supposed to be here? Probably not. Had it even gotten permission to leave Draco? None of your beeswax. Nothing could stop this train! Nothing! Not even the Masters! Not even the Hands! It was grown now, no boogeymen to nip at his heels. And a transgression as trivial as sneaking out would certainly pale in comparison to whatever it found in Orion.

It had not considered what she was actually looking for. A... Really cool rock maybe? There were plenty, but she felt that not many would share her enthusiasm. No, it had to have universe appeal, annoyingly enough. She kicked up dust at the thought, watching it scatter in the heavy air. She didn't have to care about the opinions of others right now - so why did they worm their way into its thoughts so easily?

Adulthood was supposed to mean change, but little seemed to under these ceilings.

Mossie had been wandering in a haze for what felt like hours.

She'd met her god, she'd met her purpose... and it was terrifying.

Her pulse pounds in her ears, and as she wanders in a circle the only certainty she comes to is I can't do this alone.

Just her luck, then, that she bumps into the little creature she'd met what seems like ages ago, only they're...big. now.

The passage of time keeps happening without her permission. It's a real bitch.

Still, she approaches with a grin that only slightly betrays her inner monologue of what the fuck what the fuck what the FUCK on repeat. "Hello, hello! Fancy meeting you again!"

A familiar face was not what it had expected to find here, but the surprise was pleasant - thankfully. A little red shape amongst the dull, dusty monotony of dead rock. When had she gotten so small? Time had been kinder to him, evidently. The cat looked a little... haggard.

Forbidden knowledge was a heavy burden to bear of course. She wondered, fearfully, if she might suffer the same fate in the cycles to come.

Hiding its own baggage behind another easy smile, it tilted its head down to greet her with its upper face, displaying how it had matured [like a good wine!]. While his face remained untouched by the uglier parts of age, his proportions had stretched, balancing themselves into an image of young adulthood. The lower face had remained mostly the same.

"Hello... Cat!" If she had told it her name in the past, it had clearly forgotten. "How strange to see you! A peculiar delight." It trotted closer, a new spring in its step.

"How have the cave's been treating you?" It asked, even though it was sure it'd gotten the gist from her appearance alone.
