[Backdated to cycle 2]

Asira was soon old enough to venture further out into Orion as she built up her stamina. She knew that she shouldn't leave the cave still, that would not make her parents very happy, but there were still plenty of things to do here! Her paws were weary by the time she arrived at the center of the cave, the building looming before her. Small in comparison to the sheer size of the structure, it invoked a sense of awe. Would she be that big one day? Just like Cadenza! Finding an entrance, she made her way within. The circular space was perfect for practicing, enclosed, but not overly so.

To warm up, she could start out with a small, simple spell. It wasn't particularly useful just yet, but she was working on it. Asira focused her gaze on a lone pebble. She stared hard, very hard. But that tingly feeling did not arise.
This would not do! She did not give up that easily. And it was very important that she get this simple spell down if she were to move onto bigger things. Asira stared at the pebble, but this time, she put most of her focus into imagining that the pebble was moving. She stared so hard she was starting to get a headache, but oh! Something was happening. She could feel the energy running through her, alright, the pebble was moving! It was-- the rock smacked her right in the forehead and ricocheted off someplace. Now not only did she have a headache, but a bruise too! Gosh that hurt. If only she could learn to direct that in the opposite direction. Now that would be effective! Could she possibly shoot stones to take down prey? Hm, interesting thought.
But that was that, sufficient enough for a warm-up. Onto the next task! Asira found the rock that had smacked her earlier and carried it back to the center of the arena. Or at least she thought it was the same rock. There were a decent number of rocks here and many of them looked the same. Her eyes were not keen enough to distinguish the slight differences between each one.

She imagined it... doing something. Well it wasn't imagination this time, more so an intense focus and willing the energy to surge through her and into the rock. And the energy was building. She was thrumming with power, feeling it flood into every part of her being. But it was too much, she had to let it go! Release! The ground beneath her turned to plasma, the burning sensation shot through her paws and legs, and before she could call out for help, the walls of a chrysalis closed around her and sent her to sleep.

[exit into chrysalis]
Asira will awaken with the following Chrysalis Consequence:

Stray. Gembound may speak and understand an ancient language rather than their common tongue. This is a minor case and will manifest in infrequent episodes.

This consequence may or may not dissipate over time or via a chrysalis. Up to you!
