He was so very fatigued, at this point. His head ached from the magic he had used thus far.

But he was determined. He needed to make sure they lived, all of them. He needed them to take his magic and become his even more so, as well.

It was a ravenous hunger, though not at all the literal sort.

This vine bloomed most beautifully of all the plants thus far, and he murmured encouraging noises to it.
One more... Just one more.

But his head was fuzzy with fatigue. What if he could not focus properly, and he harmed the grass instead? There was plenty of it, surely it would be safe until he returned, he decided. It was better to leave it then harm it.

He stumbled into the dark hallway, taking a nap first, to clear his head.

And then, his mind freshly rested, he carefully backtracked. He would remember this way, for this was his garden here in these shadows.
