ORIGIN

He leaned in close, eager to learn more about her and her exotic magic. It was so neat - did it make her feel the same way as when he used his magic? Tingly? Tired, mostly. His magic had a slow approach to it, but it certainly was powerful. No, he didn't really feel tingly when he did it. Definitely it mostly made him feel tired, but that was okay. She in fact mentioned being tired, and Bartos nodded enthusiastically. "Yeah, it always makes me feel pretty tired. But I just take a nap after!" The cat laughed and leaned back. Maybe they could nap together! He did like napping with others, especially... Oh, his face grew hot just remembering the time that the pretty doe had climbed up to his home and told him a story while he drifted asleep. "We could take a rest, or maybe we could get something to drink, or eat..." He rambled on, forgetting that they weren't as close of friends as he and the doe. In fact, the little cheetah was still an absolute stranger. He didn't even know her name!

"OH HEY!" The cat brightened up again, bouncing closer to her with a friendly wave of his tail. "I don't even know your name! I'm Bartos, I live here!" He added, tilting his head and grinning. Maybe they could go on an adventure.

A nap really did sound nice after all of the excitement so far today. The realization that she had a magic that she could control was huge and she still hadn't completely wrapped her little head around it. And food and water sounded great too, and she was about to open her mouth to ask where they might find a nice place to sit and get something to eat and drink before Bartos formally introduced himself. "Bartos.. That's an interesting name. Mine is Iqniq." Her face grew a bit warm as she realized she had also forgotten to introduce herself, but he didn't seem upset about it.

"I don't really live aywhere yet... I haven't been around long and I'm still figuring this place out. This room is the only one I really know, but I've peeked out into one or two of the tunnels. They just seem so dark compared to the sparkly roof in here." She said, getting a bit nervous just at the thought of leaving the big room she had slowly started getting used to. "Is there any way we could see about getting something to eat though? My belly is starting to growl after that magic." She said, just at her stomach responded with a particularly loud growl.

The cat couldn't help the bashful smile that grew on his face as she complimented his name. It seemed a common comment others made - that he had a nice name, or that he was clever or funny. He didn't really try (did that make him arrogant?) but he liked their compliments nonetheless, and he tried hard to make them happy with the parts of him they enjoyed. He didn't quite get humor, but he really did try. "Iqniq! Your name is fun to say." The cat laughed, clicking his tongue on the roof of his mouth. "Iqniq, Iqniq and Bartos! I like it!" He purred.

Oh, so she was in the same boat as him! "I haven't left either! This is my home, so I don't really know why I should leave in the first place, but I'm also very curious. I want to know whats out there!" He answered, tilting his head as his bright cobalt eyes looked past her, to the expanse of the room that yawned around them - and then the tunnels beyond. His attention snapped back to her as she mentioned her hunger. "Yeah! Theres a nest of mice somewhere around here, I'm sure... They always nest in the buildings and stuff. We can hunt some down! They're pretty tasty." He hummed and bounced onto his paws, skipping over to the ruins of the nearest building and expecting her to follow.
