ORIGIN - BOUND BY BONE

Arsu picked his way across Canis, noting with mild horror the white threads swathed throughout. It wasn't as bad as it had been, but it... still was. But that's why he was here: to ask the Bonebound, any of them, for some aid in cleansing Eridanus too.

In retrospect, it seemed selfish. They were clearly already fighting an infestation on their home turf. What could he offer them in return? Maybe everyone would agree to help purge Canis, afterward, he thought, but it was just that--a maybe.

The other issue was that he didn't really know who he should be looking for. Pride had spoken frequently enough of 'The Bonebound' as a group entity, but their membership aside from that one hyena was a mystery to Arsu.

He had to settle, then, for setting down the stone he carried and calling out. "Bonebound? Are there any Bonebound here?"

Auré would have thought by now that the name Bonebound was a name lost to the winds. But, it has endured long enough for someone to come asking, a call for it ringing through Canis. Endured like the bones themselves, the young King supposes.

He turns away from the crumbling mass of Order before him— spares it and the glimmering eyes beginning to blink in approach a backwards glance— and takes off into short, swooping flight to greet...

Well, he mistakes the figure for Pride, at first. But, maybe they're a child of his, come bearing a message— Auré offers a polite nod of greeting toward him regardless, as he alights some ten feet off (bound to come closer, once he's more certain of identity). He waits for his talons to be steady before he calls across the small distance, "One of them is, at least."

A beat. Um.

He gestures toward himself with the crook of a wing, nodding again. "Auré. Who are you?"

Arsu dipped his head, politely formal and perfectly gentle.

"Hello, Aure. I-" and then he paused, blinking, his head tilting a little. "I remember you!" Arsu abruptly blurted, laughing a little, his demeanor going from formal to warmly surprised. "At least, I think--a very long time ago, in Pisces? When Naskital was there. I was just a child--I think you might have been too-... Oh." He laughed apologetically again.

"My parents are Pride and Mercy, if you know them. I came to ask about, ahh--someone is planning to arrange an attempt to cleanse Eridanus of Order. We know you have fungus here, too, so we thought we would let you know in case you wanted to send anyone. I think if we can purge one cave, we can then move on to the next, like this one?" he added hopefully, glancing about.

The stuff really did stink.
