Alright, deep breath. They couldn't let their frustration get the better of them, especially when they had only tried twice. And third time was the charm, right? Onyx-Three focused hard on the armor, willing their magic to heed their command. Something clicked. His onyx glowed, and a surge of magic rushed forth. It imbued itself within the armor. Success. He had done it.
Onyx-Three blinked, almost in disbelief. Enchantment... they had really pulled it off.
"I did it," he stated. Yet, he felt the energy sapped from him, more than other forms of magic that he had tried his hand at before. Too weak to stand, they remained kneeled next to the armor, holding one hand up to their head.
"Your turn. Cool magic." He addressed Yanyue without looking at them, trying not to show how draining this had been.

Yanyue felt excitement as they were called to act. It was their time to shine! They focused intently on the spell that had caught their vampire friend's attention to begin with.
And they felt the magic leaving them, magic succeeding for sure, but it was different because it was being taken in by the spell Onyx-Three had cast.
They were really doing it! Yanyue was helping with an enchantment! "I think it's working!" they proclaimed with excitement.
The magic took--and flared out in silver-white, the armor glowing brightly for just a moment. Then it settled: but the magic that had poured into the enchantment had been enhanced by the armor itself, by the power waiting latent within.
What would have been a minor reduction in damage from blows to the armor instead became a softly blowing barricade of air around it: one that a Gembound could feel, when touching it. Strikes would rarely connect, instead forced back powerfully by blasts of air, physical hits rebounding and magical attacks partially deflected.
