Tectus had given herself a mission. Was it a dumb one? Yes. But these stupid eggs were appearing all over the place and it was like they were just begging to be investigated. She grumbled something about these kind of things "not happening back in my day" as she lumbered through the dimly lit cavern. But, for whatever reason, she's told herself she was going to claim one. And not just any one - the biggest one she could find. Surely, that meant that her egg would be superior.
That's how things worked.
They were not...gembound eggs, she was pretty sure. Gembound didn't grow from eggs. Maybe it was food of some kind - it better be some amazing food to smell so good. Eventually she found one that met her standards - almost the size of her head! Nodding with approval, she raised herself up, pressing her claws against it and touching around the sides, as if inspecting it. And then...reared back and smashed it.
Closer inspection would find that it was, in fact, a hollow chocolate (with an actual eggshell exterior--gross) egg. Gembound-safe chocolate, thankfully, but thick and (magically) delicious.
Inside were a number of other treats. Chocolate hearts. Lollipops shaped like hearts in a variety of pink and purple colors. Chalky little candy hearts, with silly phrases on them like 'Will you be my Gem-BONDED' and 'Imagine the Chaos we could create <3'. All of it would make for a fine little feast, or a gift to friends or partners, if so desired.
@Tectus
Tectus stared at the magnificent display before her, suspicious. What was this, some kind of trick? Was someone trying to poison her? Distract her? She glanced around, but nobody else was here. Hmmm...
She leaned forward and glared closely at the chocolate, eyes flitting over the text - she'd learned some basic reading in ye olde days, but it took her a bit of time to decipher their meanings. If a valkhound could frown, she would be putting on the single most unamused glower the caves had ever seen. This had Nemean written all over it. No...no wait this was too harmless. Some other trickster running around the caves?
She huffed and looked around again, as if looking to see if anyone was watching, before beginning to taste some of the chocolates. Not bad - quite tasty, actually. She would drag these back to the Tower, where she'd set up a den for the time being. This would probably last her a few days.
