Priscilla didn't quite know how she'd came to be here; all she knew was that she'd walked, and walked, and walked, until her little pink feet hurt.
Along a dank and dingy tunnel she'd plodded, until she grew tired of stopping to wash herself every twenty footsteps and eventually just decided to keep moving, cleaning when she found a good place to stop and rest.
Until then, Prissy slunk along the tunnel walls feeling dejected-- why oh why hadn't she just stayed in Pisces, where the water was cool and she could look at her reflection all the time?
The answer had been so obvious back then. She was hungry and the little one couldn't eat water or fish, and rocks would ruin her perfect teeth! But now, Prissy wondered longingly if she perhaps could have just toughed it out and found a way.
She hated the feeling of dust on her toes and burrowing it's way into her wiry fur. But... As she plodded along, Priscilla found the tunnel walls begin to glow with crystals and soft luminescent moss.
And then, as Priscilla stepped from the tunnel and into the vast, shining splendour of Polaris, the little possum was almost too blown away to even preen. She stepped towards, awed by the sight of the distant Spire and the silver river winding around it, her fur prickling to the magic in the air.
She stared around herself in wonder as she padded forward, blind to anything else.
