Blue and purples shone slightly from the chrysalis that stood in the middle of the area, slowly shaking. Once. Twice. Three times. And then a crack. Tiny paws pushed at the chrysalis as she crawled out, eyes blinking at the light that came through. She didn't cry, and just moved to sit beside the weird egg like thing she just emerged from.

She squinted as she looked at it, trying to figure out what this thing was. She reached out a paw curiously to paw at it, accidently using her magic for the first time ever, feeling a weird static on her body as she gasped and pulled away, her eyes wide. However, her look of fear didn't last long and instantly her eyes widened.

She already seemed to enjoy the thrill of figuring things out and would spend the next few minutes sitting there, sniffing at her paw and then back at the chrysalis, then back at her paw again.

Interesting.

Lifting her head, she began to search around, flicking her ears as she took in everything around her. What the hell was this place? She honestly wasn't really sure, there were a bunch of rocks jutting out in catawampus ways, carvings on the walls around her, and so much to see and explore.

And so, she took one last glace at the chrysalis she had emerged from before turning and beginning to explore, her nose to the ground, hoping to find something or someone interesting.

Not far off, the pup would find a strange little cache. It was little more than a gap behind one of the well-worn stones, but it gave off a strange, slightly metallic odor.

Someone had, at some point many, many years ago, stashed a leather pouch back here. It was worn through in many places, despite what looked like an enchantment left to protect it from the elements: it had nevertheless aged and worn away, eventually. The drawstring was completely gone, and the entire thing was covered in a thick layer of fine sand and dust.

Within lay a number of small items: personal things that had once been valuable to their owner. Clearly, whoever it was was never coming back for them, not now. But the little chips of gold had perhaps once held some worth, and the little pocketknife (fashioned from a handle of polished, mottled wood), though its blade was rusted, was well-made. The rolled-up map disintegrated the moment it was touched, its ancient parchment too worn, but the two sticks of pigment--one coal, one red ochre--used to mark it remained intact. A few other things within had not survived the ages. A small stick figure had fallen apart, the sticks rotting into nothing, so that only its shape was briefly visible before the dust blew away. And a small paper box of some sort turned to dust, as well. But the rest--the gold chips, the knife and the pigment, as well as the hole-ridden, dusty pouch--remained.

Ooh she did in face find something. She cocked her head to the side curiously as she pawed at the items one at a time, taking a small inventory of them. She would keep them safe for now until she figured out what to do with them.

She gathered the things carefully in the hole ridden bag, picking it up carefully by her maw so that things wouldn't fall out unless she turned too quickly and ran. For now that would mean she would just have to walk to her next destination. And what destination was that?

A den, or a home in general, at least for now. Exploring and newly emerging was an exhaustive activity and all she could really think about was finding a place to rest and recover from the energy spent hatching and exploring.
