Her claws were retracted, so there was none of that annoying tapping, and so her footfalls was soft and quiet. Her tail swaying gently behind her.

Mephala had spent an entire day just hiding in the tunnel she emerged from within her Chrysalis, watching with her one-eye, and hiding... well, tried to hide. It was hard trying to hide in a tunnel with mirror-like crystals that reflected every twitch and flick of a tail. And so, she moved on from that tunnel, fed up with its watchful schemes.

Mephala's non-functioning gemstone eye, shined with a blueish tint under the star-like fungi that glowed and illumated the cavern with a blueish light. Her functioning eye, bright red with a black slim rounded pupil, took in the sights with cautious eagerness. Her eye darted from the crystals to the glowing fungi, to the purple stone of the walls. Her eyesight was surpingly sharp for this day old Gembound, but then again, she did only have the one eye.

The energy in this section of the cave was... strange. She wanted to run and jump around... and so, instead of doing that. She tried something else!

@Belvadair

The first thing Belvadair met, was in fact a hybrid. Something that completely panicked at him. It was.. annoying to say the least. The masked pup wanted to know more, but didn't want to budge with so many questions. He wanted to explore. To seek what could be. For a moment he rested his gemstone eye. The good one gazed around his surroundings.

Instead of choosing to hide, he went exploring. His mind set on two things, keeping himself alive and learning to see what this world is. Where he should try to live. What place is best. Who he can meet. So many questions from the little pup, yet he dared not to speak of them.

A gentle rest of his eyes, as he tried to call forward for anything to help him. It was.. successful! An energetic boost flew through his veins. Belvadair felt like he could run! Could reach for the stars. Moving quickly, he did that. Reopening his eyes to see another creature. Different from him. A feline. (Man, were there no one like him?)

Belvadair only stopped the clicks of his paws because he saw a faint glow under the lights of the crystals. A shone of light seemed off a gemstone placed among the creatures eye. But on the other side. Not like.. his. At all. Out of pure instinct he put his own front paw near his own gemed eye. Could he do anything like that?

@Mephala

Mephala wasn't sure what she did, other than the fact that she did do something. She couldn't see it, but she could feel it. Her eye gem grew warm. She crossed her good eye to try, and from what she could manage to see, a faint red glow came from her gem-stone eye. The light of the cave washed it out more, so it was even harder to see. In darkness, it might glow much brighter.

Her ears twitched at the sound of claws clicking. Her muscles tightened up, ready to sprint and hide. She hadn't met another creature in her entire one day of existence, and so she was wary. The feline stared at this new creature... it didn't look like her. More... fur. While Mephala's fur was soft, but sleek, it's fur was... fluffy. It's eye looked weird

Mephala kept her distance, and her good eye on it...

@Belvadair

His amber eye locked onto hers, yet his paw didn't move. Didn't.. wouldn't that hurt? Belvadair was intrigued by the faint glow. The interest didn't go away. The feline had locked eyes onto him. Fearful, was he really scary to these things? Even to the hybrid he met earlier, the thing was scared of his own shadow. It.. frustrated Belvadair in a way he didn't know how to answer. All he wanted was to explore, to check things out.

"Ya know I won't hurt ya."

He calmly spoke outwards, his expression never changed. Didn't bat his eyes. All he did was move his paw to the ground. Good energy flowed through his veins. Ready to take on it if needed, but he had a feeling otherwise. Belvadair's good eye did not move from hers.

"Speaking"
@Mephala

Mephala tilted her head, curiously, when she heard it speak to her. It had a nice voice... She hasn't made that kind of noise before, and so she had to try, by immediately responding.

"Oh, I'm not scared of you, just cautious... the only creature I've met in these tunnels and caves thus far has been me."

Was she shocked at what her first words were? Of course not, for she had never heard better. In fact, she really liked how she sounded. She should definitely speak more often.

@Belvadair

The dark pup rolled his shoulders, the golden tint on his back moved with it. The mask on his face didn't budge much. His voice remained flat, calm. But it was young. Not much older than her. Nor could he offer much.. Did that matter? No. Belvadair would act as if he knew more than he did.

"Most I've seen haven't been.. bad."

He wouldn't give much information, thus meaning he didn't have a lot to give. However he was curious if they knew anything. What power they might hold, would it help him at all? Belvadair only knew sometimes he could generate a boost now. Something that made him feel better.

What else could he do? Could this feline do something similar? Maybe that's what the eye glow was from? Belvadair didn't know.

"I'm Belvadair."

A final sigh from his jaws before his ears flickered behind him, only cautiously looking to make sure nothing would creep up upon him. A precaution. Could never be too safe right? The masked pup had been stepped on once, he didn't need another big paw on his tail.

@Mephala

He didn't sound sure. Mephala took that as a 'hopefully I don't run into the most and the some'.

"Most, huh... you don't sound too sure about that."

She relaxed, muscles loosening from being tight and tensed, and ready to just run. She still kept her distance, just incase. Nothing wrong with bring cautious.

"Well, Belvadair, lovely to meet you!" Mephala was actually quite delighted to meet another creature in these tunnels. "You are the first creature my sole eye has ever landed on!"

Mephala held her head up high and seemed to grin, but on the feline is just looked more like a sneer.

"I am Mephala!"

@Belvadair

"The other one I ran into, accidentally stepped on me. So.."

Belvadair shrugged it off as nothing. He was able to feel much better quickly. Why waste and say everything's bad? But everything may not be. Could be worse. Maybe better. The dark pup wants to find out.

"You're my second!"

There was a sneer or some type of grin from the feline. Although Belvadair could only let out a small high pitched chuckle.

"It's nice to meet you! Do you wanna see what I can do? I've been trying to practice."

He tilted his head with his question. A curious one at that. Only hoping they'd accept and see what he could do. Even.. if he had no idea how to do it yet. Belvadair was slowly beginning to understand some things. The masked pup just needed more time.

@Mephala

"You got stepped on!" Mephala huffed out a snort and shook her head in amusement. "Wonderful first impression! Right?"

She was his second encounter with a creature. She felt oddly offended at not being the first... well, she couldn't really do anything about that.

She extracted her claws, and tapped them on the groun. "Go ahead, I want to see!" Mephala's tail swayed. "Just don't do it on me."

Mephala thought about it for a moment. "You know, I would like to practice too! See what I can do!" Mephala's eye gem still glowed with a faint red glow, and she's like to see what else she could do.
