Ill enjoyed this feeling. They enjoyed the feeling of water rushing past their eyes, their ears, the deafening thunder of it as he sliced through the crystal-clear river. His ears closed to protect themselves, but he could eat the rush, feel the rush. Ill liked the rush. She let out short clicks and barks as he twisted and dove- He wished it had been this free when he had been trapped in that godforsaken chrysalis for as long as he had been alive then.
His lungs felt heavy. He had been swimming for a long time, they had been swimming for hours, and it had been a while since they had gone up for air. Not more than 20 minutes, of course, because Ill did not have a death wish, but it had been a while. He flapped his flippers like birds wings as he slides through the water smoothly, heading towards the surface. His mouth opened before he even broke to air, gulping in deep breaths, before he dove- straight back down with the flick of a tail.
Now that he had been refreshed and he crushing feeling in his chest had lightened, he moved on to other senses. He was rather hungry, and thirsty. He was in water- Thirst was an easy fix. But food? He had to hunt to get food. His movement stilled, and he peered around at his surroundings. A short click of annoyance escaped his throat as he peered around at nothing but tiny little silver fish that he could barely see- Let alone catch and let fill his stomach.
His fins spun at an awkward angle as he pointed himself downwards, thrusting his arms to propel himself down deeper into the body of water. He glanced around once more, his eyes settling on a decently sized group of 3 pale, white fish, maybe a foot long each. He almost salivated as he stared at them, righting himself to decide how to go about this.
The easy way was best, he decided, pointing himself at the school, pushing himself towards them as fast and sudden as he could. His jaws missed the fish, his teeth clamping down on water that filled his mouth.
"Damnit."
Ill muttered, watching as the fish took off deeper into.. The depths. His air was running out- He would have to swim back up soon anyways- And it was what he turned to do, breaking the surface once more, but this time swimming to the shore to perch halfway out of the water, enjoying the fresh air.
"speak" and think
His rage entered my soul
As I lay on the floor
In a pool of my own blood
