Athena Ignis

The first thing the newly conscious Gembound became aware of was heat. It was a strong heat, as if there was a fire nearby but the Alaskan Malamute actually liked it. She wiggled her tiny legs, pressed her pink pawpads against the shell of whatever it was that she was stuck in and felt the warmth against her sensitive skin.
Unlike before, the heat now soon began to grow too much to bear and the dog pulled back, shaking her whole body to express her dislike. No, no, called her young mind, shaking more wildly.
Eventually, the thing atop her head - she could not see but only feel it - hit the shell of her Chrysalis, heavily damaging the thin glowing Imperial Topaz. The fluid within started to pour through the tiny holes the female Gembound had accidently created and soon she was taking her first breath of air. And now she really felt like she needed to get out there and see what the heck was causing her Chrysalis to warm up.
A few swift kicks with her front legs broke the shell and then she was free and the first thing Athena saw was fire. Her chrysalis rested in the entrance of Tunnel I, only a few meters from where the whole of Polaris was bathed in fire. "Ah, hot!" The young Malamute barked, shaking yet again - once more to show her distaste for the current situation and to get the sticky fluid clinging to her thick coat out of her fur - and grimacing quite obviously.

Athena saw a huge thing sitting on a blue spire in the middle of Polaris and she retreated further, relying completely on her instincts. Whatever it was, she definitely didn't want to mess with it. "No, no." She muttered, retreating further into the opening of the tunnel and leaning against one of it's cold walls. Not that she felt much of it through her thick, light brown coat.

"Listen to me."

Only a few days after her emergence, Winter Snow walked around exploring the new world. She came across Polaris and looked inside. She decided to go inside unsure if it was safe to go inside. The albino pup realized that it was only one of the many tunnels that were near a tunnel. She started inside and soon came across something in the middle of the Polaris. Her tail went down and her white ears went back against her head. She let out a little growl but she wasnt as terrified as other wolves and animals.

The blue eyed pup looked around and tried to figure out what she could do. She wasnt like others. She was white with pink skin and sky blue eyes. Her stone was the same color as her eyes. She didnt know how to react, but she saw a dog that she had never met before. She wasnt that far from the girl, maybe a foot or less a way from her. She wandered closer looking at her. She heard the girl shout no twice which meant she was scared too. "Hey...hey...come with me...I can get you and I out of here." Winter said once she was right behind the girl.

The dragon was no fool to the fact that such beasts roaming this cave will hav developed here in the core, too; the masters' monster factory had fallen into disuse once they left, and everything since then had degraded into dust and filth. For as long as creatures persisted they tarnished this cave with the excrements of life, until finally the last one had fallen asleep, and Raheerah too had been cast into slumber. Left to his own devices, the beast of mayhem would eventually exhaust his resources. These filthy mites took over the realm while he slept and he would make sure to externinate them now while he had the chance.

The dragon's weight caused the massive spire to groan, creaking and moaning in the earth below. A near constant stream of fire came pouring from his maw as he surveyed the room and ignited everything that had been extinguished. This room, once painted blue with the reflections of the water and crystals, was now cast in hellish red as his shadow danced devious on the walls, painted by the ever reeling tongues of flame. His vivid orange eyes would pour over the room, until from afar he caught sight of two mites that had previously escaped his vision. The dragon snarled and launched himself from the spire, titanic wings unfurling from his side. With a powerful flap, he sent a whirlwind of hot, shimmering air at the two, strong enough to knock them down if they weren't prepared, and landed. The dragon's bulk contacting the ground sent forth a wicked shudder, as did each step as he loomed ever nearer, lips curled in a snarl.

"Pesky gnats." He rumbled insidiously, towering several tens of meters over Winter Snow and Athena.

Athena still leaned against the wall when suddenly there was someone behind her, talking. She turned around and saw another pup, quite like her but pure white. Black lips split in an open-mouthed smile to greet the stranger. "Hey hey." She returned the other's words with ease, smile widening into a grin proudly.

Her tail wagged behind her as she leaned towards the other canine to take in its smell. Sadly, a very loud groan interrupted Athena and the pup instinctively growled at it.
The growl died in her throat though when she turned around and watched the dragon walk towards them. "No!" She roared, voice breaking off eventually and throwing Athena into a coughing fit. Looks like there was still some of that icky fluid in her lungs.

Suddenly, a strong gust of wind hit Athena like a wall and she stumbled back. That made her really angry. How rude of that thing! And what had it called them? Ugh, she couldn't even pronounce that. Instinctively Athena jumped forward and barked at Raheerah. The heat in her chest began to push up her throat and before the Alaskan Malamute knew it, she accidently used her magic.

The heat Athena had felt creeping up her throat escaped with the series of barks she was throwing at Raheerah. The air coming out of her maw was really hot and it kind of tasted funny, thought Athena, but it cooled down before it really touched the huge thing in front of her and the other pup behind her. "Mean." Athena spat and pouted, although a lingering sense of pride swelled in her chest at the successful spell cast.

"Listen to me."

The snow white female smiled as the female pup came over to her. Her tail wagged back and played bowed. It was the first pup she had seen since emerging. "Would the pup like me even though I am different, even though I am not normal color? I am a freak." she thought.

Before she could say her name an ask the female her name, the pup and herself faced a creature that she had never seen before. A growl came out of the girl that was standing in front of her which caused a growl to come out of her mouth too. Smoke came out of her nose and ears as she growled.

The white female didnt really have a bark but she was gonna let a big dragon scare her. Her breathe felt odd and it smelled like burnt meat in a way. She stopped and tried to wondering where it was coming from and what it was. She howled and the hot air that came out of her mouth got hotter and rose towards the dragon.

Raheerah wasn't surprised when the two canines shuddered in his wake and turned their wrath upon him - he'd been expecting it, because he knew two tiny fleas like them could hardly leave a mark on the dragon. In fact, it seemed he'd hit the jackpot when one of them barked incessently at him, pouring forward a rolling breath of heat; the other followed suit in a jagged puppy howl, sputtering super hot air at him that withered away before it could even breach his scales. He'd only known they were attempted fire because they were nothing else.

The dragon reeled his head back in a thunderous, snarling laugh. His wings flared out at his sides in a reminder of his massive girth over them, clawed tips curling maliciously towards them. "AHAHAHAH! HOW PATHETIC!" The beast roared, lunging forward at the two babes. From his massive jaws swept a hurricane of hot air before he snapped them shut just above the pair - not an attempt to devour them, no. Merely to scare.

Stepping forward, Raheerah cornered them in the mouth of the tunnel. They could flee, but Raheerah would roast them in a stream of fire; it wouldn't take much for him to fill the tunnel with molten air and so it would be in their best interest not to run. He took advantage of this, twisting his neck to stare down at the canines. "You were born of fire." He rumbled, flicking his wicked orange eyes between them. "Do you want to die by it?" His lips drew back into a crooked, insidious sneer, snorting tendrils of smoke at them before patiently awaiting their answers.

Athena watched, wide-eyed and fascinated, as the Gembound next to her copied her attack. She was torn between being a little angry because the other could do the exact same thing that she could or be happy that there was someone she could train that attack with later.

Well, if the dragon didn't eat them first.

He laughed at them, which made Athena really angry. But what could she do? The thing was so much stronger and larger than even the two of them combined! A fact that was underlined when the dragon roared fire at them, which just barely passed over them. To be honest, Athena was most scared for her baby fluff being burned. Priorities.

Still, something in her told her that this was really not a creature she ought to be messing with and that she should be afraid. "No die." Athena spoke bravely, staring at the huge eye facing them. "Fire is good." She added, not knowing that the meaning of her baby words might very well be lost on the other creatures.

Winter stopped howling and looked at the other young girl and then at the dragon. Their Magic wasnt strong or powerful enough to do damage. She wished that she was stronger but she wasnt only a pup. The albino pup knew that within time she would be able to have strong and powerful magic. The dragon spoke and she growled again. Her hackles on her back and neck stood up and her tail went down.

Winter wasnt happy with the Dragon. He insulted the two youngsters and that didnt suit the white pup. "It was not pathetic, mister. It was good. So why dont you go and pick on someone your own size." she said. The young pup didnt want to start a fight with anyone including a dragon that was probably older and wiser than the two of them. So what if he was stronger, older and wiser than them, if she and the other pup work together maybe the two of them could do something.

Winter hoped that the pup that was standing next to her would like to train along side her seeing as they both possessed heatwave. "So what if we were born with fire. We will be strong you just watch. I wills not die, mister. Not me or my friend here. We mays still be pups but we wills be strong and learn how to use it." she said.

These creatures certainly had balls to them - they could thank the creators for that. Or they were just plain stupid. Raheerah gave them the benefit of the doubt, snaking his head around to peer at the canines from different angles. Blazing orange eyes first settled on the dog, sneering as she refused to accept death - but it was the wolf that thought she could truly challenge the dragon. He snapped his eyes towards her, swooping in dangerously close. Nostrils flared and gusts if hot air bathed the wolf as his mouth lined with razor teeth lingered just a hair away from her.

Amusing. And annoying.

The dragon scoffed, spitting a veritable haze of smoke at the wolf. "The moronic and petty babbling of fleas has no bearing on an unstoppable force like me. The wisest fleas only survive because they know when to shut up." He hissed sharply, swinging one of his titanic hands towards the wolf, balling it into a fist with one clawed finger pointing down at her, threatening to crush the child. "You are a scourge, one that I am here to vanquish. You will never be strong as long as I rule this cave." Raheerah snarled, then slammed his fist down just beside the wolf, shaking the ground. "But! Consider yourselves lucky, for I, of fire and magma, can make your flames grow brighter still. If you should entertain me." He was a sly beast; a manipulative one, a powerful one. But he didn't lie.

Athena couldn't really follow what the canine next to her said, but it was a lot of words for such a small pup and even though she didn't know half the words, the meaning behind them wasn't last to the Alaskan Malamute.
Still, whatever the albino gembound had said, the huge dragon monster wasn't happy with it.

It directed its anger at Athena's new friend, coming close and breathing hot smoke at her. The dragon threw insults at the pup but suddenly did a complete turn-around and told them to entertain him. Entertain him? Fun?

Athena's young mind simply followed the change of topic and could only come up with one idea of fun. "Play tag!" She spoke with a grin, jumping up and down next to the dragon and the wolf pup. "Tag is fun. Entertain." She added as an explanation, excited. Did that mean they were all friends now?

"Listen to me."
