Wyrm was still getting the hang of walking. She wasn't really good at walking slowly: it left her sort of waddling in an awkward side-by-side. She'd learned that a bounding hop worked better for her body shape, so she was making her way through the channels in such a manner: a few ferret-like leaps, each splashing obviously in the water, and then a scramble as her claws caught on wet roots and mossy logs. She pulled herself from the water, her tongue flicking as she peered about.

She was EXPLORING. On an ADVENTURE! ...Granted, so far she'd only found more trees and more water, but to a fairly fresh-hatched child, that was pretty glorious. She could imagine great monsters and heroes and treasures around every bend... even if none of that had actually manifested so far.

Wyrm craned her head back, peering and blinking up at the dark canopy of trees. "You're so TALL," she told them, calling up at their gnarled branches. It was sort of sad, though, that all she had to talk to was herself.

Sliken was not getting the hang of walking well. As she walked, her tail dragged. Her stubby toes and legs had a hard time figuring out how to scamper the ground.

Of course, she was chasing after her sister. Trying to be sneaky. So the hybrid stuck her body in the little water she could. Keeping her head lifted above the waters.

A chicken-like head popped out of the waters, purple eyes blinked unevenly. She blurted out

"HEY!"

Before she'd duck herself under the waters.

"Speaking"
( @Wyrm )

Wyrm whirled, blinking. There was a ripple in the water, but it might well have been from her own passing. She eyed it, tongue flicking rapidly at the air, then tilted her head back to eye the darkness of the branches behind and above her. Was someone following her-?

She'd sort of thought she recognized the voice as one of her siblings, but she couldn't be sure. To be safe, she turned and scarpered up a little higher, claws scrabbling at wet wood as she pulled herself onto a huge, curving root. Then she turned back, feeling that she was probably hopefully safe up here. "Hello?" she called down, her voice a bright chirp. "Hi?!"
