He lowered his head as he stalked the small group of cave mice in front of him, lowering his body to the ground and slowly stalking. He was careful, silent and kept himself in the shadows as much as he could. It took time, patience and most others might have gotten bored and pounce, but he didn't. He waited until he was about five feet away before opening his mouth and breathing out.

He let out his breath, a wave of fiery heat coming out of his mouth and going a bit further, burning a bit hotter than he had expected. He had only anticipated the fire killing one, maybe burning the other, but instead he got both of the mice in one fell swoop, causing their small bodies to succumb to the flames. Be it burns or heart attack, they both died on the spot.

He stood up and sniffed at them, content with that situation and went off to find more, keeping his current pile hidden under some dirt and rubble.

With those two stashed away, he began to search for more, sniffing the air before he finally found the trails of another, not too far away. Thankfully it hadn't seemed spooked by the earlier incident and he was able to lower himself to the ground. At this point he was getting used to hunting in these narrow tunnels, as this seemed to be where he caught most of his meals lately.

Sure enough, he got close enough and opened his mouth once more. This time, the flame was a bit more like he had anticipated, no longer going crazy and setting the whole place ablaze. The mouse went down rather easily and he picked it up, taking it back to his growing pile before going off to find just one more if he could.

The last one took him some time, having to travel a bit further through the tunnel than he would have liked, but soon enough he once again heard the scurrying a small feet. He waited patiently for it to come out of its hidey hole in the wall. Sure, he could have just breathed fire into the hole, but that would make things all that more annoying to retrieve.

And so, he waited for several minutes, sighing softly to himself when finally, out of the wall came a small mouse and right then, he breathed, not giving it a chance to notice him. It fell instantly with a small squeak and he smirked. This was pathetically easy, so much so he almost felt bad for them, but not enough to leave them behind of course.

Grabbing the three others, he would pick up his prize and, charred - evenly cooked if you will - he would leave, content with his work.
