Giggle lifted her head, and sniffed the air. A familiar odor was on it, and--while she'd been flopped by the water, Grishia playing with bones--she realized this was a good opportunity. Some family bonding time, because she was pretty sure she recognized that smell.
Giggle pushed up, brush tail briefly flicking about, the expression she fired back a pleasantly friendly and inviting one. Then she set off, calling out, Omen explicitly avoiding this, because the bird was still holding a grudge about Eythan doing his best to kill her.
(What a silly thing.)
Grishia was indeed playing with bones: poking at one that had been a golem until not long ago. She was going to try and raise it up again, but--Mom wanted her to... meet someone? She met her mother's eyes, teal-gray to rich brown, and nodded earnestly. (The gnoll cub, it was turning out, was a relatively quiet child.) Then she pushed up to follow.
The Liminal Staff she took with her, complete with its crook and its sliver of moonstone, its antlers and bones and ribbons and teeth. But it was far, far too large for her, so she mostly carried it very awkwardly, and sideways, as she stumbled along behind Giggle.
Even for her age, her voice was that of a female hyena: deeper than might be expected, but, as a cub, still earnest, clear, and innocent.
