I used to think that the day would never come
I'd see the light in the shade of the morning sun

Well, now she had her job from the Collector, but she really had no idea how to go about it. She didn't really know anybody yet nor did she really know how to approach people. She'd come to Polaris, hoping to run into somebody maybe, but so far, nothing.

Great. This was great.

With a sigh, Callista gave up for the time being, sitting herself down on the ground against one of the glowing crystals and picking up a nearby piece. It was shimmering a faint blue, just like the distant spire, and with a frown, she began storing energy in her palm. Once there was enough, she threw the rock and release - instead of just a simple toss, the rock became a bullet, rocketing forward and slamming into a nearby boulder, the cracking sound reverberating through Polaris as it left behind a small crater on the stone.

Callista seemed unphased, only just a little proud of how strong that one had been. If that had been a lesser, she could have easily hunted some shit for the bounty board instead of the messy claw-murder she'd been forced to do before. She shivered at the memory. That had been a little gross.

She reached forward to find another rock, to do the same thing again, and spend some time practicing while she figured out what to do.

That my life would depend on the evening moon
That the night would never comе
