Aurelle smiled. Unseen, but it was audible in her voice. "It'll be easy," she repeated, reassuring. She turned, then, and kept walking slowly with her hand smoothing across the stone wall, and the other holding Lichen's feeler.

"That would be nice," she agreed. She wasn't sure what a display would be like-- she couldn't quite visualize what it was meant to be, but maybe if they had some more friends, they could come over and see their collection of pretty coins. If they were pretty.

And, maybe, they could find some friends at the tavern. Aurelle hummed thoughtfully for a moment, considering this, but ultimately, getting a source of food for free was her main goal here. "Hold on, I have to check we're going the right way," she told Lichen as she came to a stop.

She took another deep breath. Her head was starting to hurt a little when the sensation of bacteria all over appeared again, but she really didn't want to lead Lichen into the wrong tunnel and get them both lost. If she were alone, she wouldn't have minded.

"This way," Aurelle guided, moving away from the wall.

@Lichen

It'll be easy. The words rattled around her skull. And, if all went well, they'd have a home as worthy as some of the tales she'd heard. Dragons who coveted hoards wasn't a concept entirely unfamiliar to her, and she could see the appeal in it, it certainly sounded better than curling up on a stony floor. Though she has no idea if coins were as worthy as some of the treasures that dragons were rumoured to hoard. Would they even be good to sit upon?

"Are these coins big?" Lichen asked, voicing her thoughts out into the open, stopping when Aurelle had said she was checking the way. Then, moving again when she had. "Did you get to have one of the coins when you went?" She immediately backtracked, trying to clue in Aurelle, who she assumes cannot read minds.

Then, she remembers to elaborate further. "Sometimes they say that dragons have collections of things, but I don't have one. So, if these coins are pretty, maybe.. But, if I can't see them.. But other people can see them. So, maybe they'd be impressed by it. And they must be precious of we can exchange them for food."

@Aurelle

"I don't know, I didn't see any," Aurelle said, half-joking, half-informing. After a moment, she also elaborated. "I think you have to be given them-- you can't just find them off the floor or something. I think. So, we just have to go ask what they want in exchange for coins."

It'll be easy.

Aurelle listened as she walked, a long ear twitching thoughtfully. She hadn't heard much about dragons, admittedly, despite living with one. What she knew about dragons from staying with Lichen was that they were very sleepy and quite kind. She supposed that she could understand wanting to keep a collection of things that they liked, but...

"Maybe you should have a collection that you would be impressed by," the elf advised gently. "Instead of what other people find impressive, I mean. Wouldn't you rather have a lot of things that you really liked instead of something that other people liked?"

She gave Lichen's nose a little nudge. "What sort of things would you like to have a lot of?"

@Lichen

Lichen supposed that made some sense. Having something you'd enjoy, she had to think back on all the things she enjoyed and was startled to find the list rather lacking. It wasn't that she didn't enjoy anything, but she'd spent so may cycles simply, surviving. Eating, sleeping, drinking. Her list of things she liked were rather slim, and not many of them could be easily put into a pile and slept upon.

"I don't know," Lichen admits with a low rumble in her chest, as if humming in thought. "I think collecting a lot of anything is impressive, it's a lot of hard work." She continued, it must be hard work to gather items into one place. You'd have to find them first, then move them all and if they were big or scattered.. it wasn't worth thinking about how long it'd take.

"What about you? What would you have a lot of?" She dully noted she had no idea what Aurelle may suggest, she led a simple life. Lichen couldn't remember the last time Aurelle had expressed a keen interest in anything, at least outside of their gallivant for hot food. Perhaps Aurelle had said something and Lichen had forgotten, a thought that made her tail tip squiggle with the discomfort in her belly.

@Aurelle

Aurelle tapped her chin thoughtfully.

Food was an obvious choice, and as much as she would enjoy a big hoard of food to eat anytime she wished, Aurelle knew, practically, that it wouldn't work out. Everything rot fairly quickly; so the collection would soon stink, and it would make people sick just to get a whiff, much less actually eat it.

It was a nice fantasy, but not one she'd want to give to Lichen. She wanted to give her a good, practical answer. Something attainable, maybe in the hope that it would get Lichen interested in having a collection of nice things that she actually liked and wanted around.

"Soft things," Aurelle eventually settled on. "I like how my clothes feel. Maybe lots of clothes to wear, or just soft things we could lay around and nap on."

She smiled back at Lichen. "You know, the market... it has a lot of things around. Maybe once we get some coins, we can wander around it and find things that you like. Maybe I can find some soft things, too, and we can both have collections together and share them."

A beat. "But you can have your collection just to yourself, too, if you'd prefer. But I'd be okay sharing mine with you."

With that, she passed the yawning mouth that lead into tunnel N, still holding Lichen's feeler.

Soft things. That did sound nice, Lichen had to admit. Aurelle's shawl was soft, her free tendril idly brushing the fabric as she pondered it. A pile of big soft things would be nice to rest upon too, it wouldn't spoil like living things. It wasn't something you had to see to enjoy, it brought good sensations to both touch and smell. It was perfectly ideal. It was brilliant, why hasn't she thought of that?

"I think sharing is nice. Your shawl is nice. I'd like to share something with you, when I have it." Though, she had to say she lacked the inspiration to know exactly what they could share or have. A market did sound nice. If these people were nice and not foul tricksters set on eating them, it could be good to see what sort of things they collected for coins.

"I already have all the water and food I need, the rest could be shared." She continues, ever the pragmatic. Then her eyes widen as inspiration strikes sudden and true, "what if it is coins? Then if this market place is good and the hot food place is nice, it can be anything we want." Lichen says, like a true Wall Street investor. Simply horde the wealth.

With her plan to conquer capitalism in place, she follows into Tunnel N.
