Athena Ignis

Everything is hard before it is easy.

Athena waddled into Canis as fast she could. She'd spotted a long bone she liked as she rounded the tunnel's last corner and was now aiming straight for it. Doing her best to avoid falling over any other bones without actually taking her blue orbs of her goal, the pup tripped more than once. When she actually stood in front of the bone though, Athena realized that it was far bigger than what she could carry; it probably weighed as much as she did.

But the young gembound wasn't someone to be stopped by something being nearly impossible. She would always try before giving up.
It was hard to open her maw wide enough to even bite the bone and get a good grasp on it, still, Athena eventually succeeded and then proceeded to throw her whole strength into lifting the bone. It was obviously a waste of time to anybody who might come upon the scene as the bone was easily twice as long as Athena, but the pup only groaned and growled and tried harder. " 'amn 'one." She grumbled, object of her frustration still tightly clamped between her teeth.

"Listen to me."

A mini-cerberus had been let loose in Canis once more. Of course, who could resist the delicious draw of bones? Even the Guardian of Death's Door had once been obsessed with bones. (He still chewed on them from time to time, obviously. Who wouldn't?)

For now, said guardian, the real Kerberos, padded after the pup, wondering when she would notice him. She was quite caught up in her little bone heist-- thankfully, these bones weren't Giggle's or she'd be in so much trouble. The thought was enough to send his tail wagging. Oh, to be a silly little puppy again!

Not that he was by any stretch of the imagination grown up, of course.

Not even a little.

And so, it was hardly any surprise that he couldn't contain himself any longer, and lunged in a flurry of barks, at the puppy. Playful barks, of course. He tried to snatch the huge bone she had away from her, tail flailing about the whole time. Nevermind that he was a huge dog, nearing like five times her size with three whole heads to boot, but hey. What was there even to be scared of? He was 100% fluff and he certainly wasn't going to eat a tiny puppy like her anyway.

Athena definitely couldn't pride herself on her attentiveness. When this huge shadow loomed over her and its barks nearly scared her out of her own pelt, she was very shocked that she hadn't noticed the creature approaching. It tried to snatch the pup's bone, which she definitely did not want to share. Still holding onto the bone, Athena snarled, although playfully, at the giant.

Once she let go of the bone and turned around to face the stranger, her heart jumped into her throat. Man, this guy was huge! And it had three heads. Three. "My bone!" She barked with a dorky grin, standing up on her hind legs for a moment to wave her front legs in the air; like a lion's paws in a fight. This obviously didn't last long, due to her clumsiness and bad balance, but Athena laughed at herself nonetheless. "You're so big!" The Alaskan Malamute said, not sure which head to talk to and therefore opting to look at all three expectantly. Her blue eyes were wide with curiosity and wonder, her tail wagging excitedly from side to side.

"Listen to me."
