ORIGIN

Ten years ago, a Gate appeared in a Chicago suburb: a blue, swirling portal to another world. Through it came creatures spoken of only in human fiction. Then came the Awakenings—a city-wide evolution of mankind in response to the energies pouring from the Gate. It was not alone. Around the world, portals began to appear. Governments panicked, economies fell into turmoil, and the world as it was before ceased. In its place was born a new form of daily life.
