If anything would just WORK. It hissed and tried to focus this time and.. it felt weightless for a moment. Its mass lifting from the grasses and-- flight! Yes, flight would work! It would gain the high ground and--
And it was only flying a few inches above the ground and still well within the reaches of a furious deer. Once more it kicked the thrashed and once more, Creep's body was at the brunt of it. Hooves scraped across scale and hide, causing welts of blood to rise to the surface.
White hot panic siezed it. It was going to die here, to this stupid lesser. It wouldn't even make it to fulfilling the Creator's wishes and it would be branded forever a failure.
NOT IF YOU BUCK UP NOW! PULL IT TOGETHER! LIVE FOR THIS! LIVE FOR THE PAIN! LIVE FOR THE VIOLENCE! LET THE PAIN BE YOUR GUIDE. STRIKE IT. KILL IT! DO! NOT! FAIL!
As compelling as an arguement that was. Just how? How could it win here? Especially when all it could think about was the throbbing in its body where it'd been struck.
Getting vertical momentum without legs was somewhat challenging, but once it had coiled out of the hooves of the deer; it could launch itself upwards. And thankfully, back onto the deer. Which seemed so startled by the action, it briefly paused. Giving Creep enough time to circle its belly and squeeze. It squeezed and squeezed despite its body telling it to stop with waves of throbbing pain. It had to, or it would very well die to this lesser.
So squeeze it did. It squeezed until it felt the deer's breathing grow shallower, as it kicked and bucked and tried to throw V-Chaos-Twenty off of it. Until it felt the deer's ribs begin to cave slightly under the pressure, to bend, but not yet snap. It just had to keep going, just a little longer, just a little harder.
It swore the deer was succuming, it could've sworn it was. It felt its breathing slow, it felt the lesser stumble. Yet the second it foolishly loosened its hold to rest its wounded body for a moment; it found itself being tossed around where it was looped around the deer's body. Being shaken and rattled like a hoola hoop as the lesser kicked.
After having its brains scrambled, it eventually released its hold. Feeling weightless once more, before crashing into the grass and dirt with a weighty 'thwump'.
Then it was back to trying to dodge hooves, ducking and weaving, trying to control its massive length with such finite precision when one wrong move could lead to another stomping.
Why wasn't this thing running out of energy? It was, it was exhausted and aching. Yet this lesser seemed to have boundless energy and all of it was being used to thrash it.
