Cancer smiled sadly, thoughp proudly, as his son repeated his new sisters' (or so Cancer could guess they'd be girls) names. He'd do well to protect them in their father's stead. He asked about their mothers, and Cancer tried to imagine Bevy and Amaria meeting the two little girls they'd brought into life. The scene would be emotional, he figured, and painful if he weren't there with them.

"Remedy is born of Bevy. Tiny red and black bird. Impossible to miss. She leads Magi now. Cure is born of Amaria. A leopard like me. Beautiful, with stretched spots and blue eyes. She will also be with Maji, or not far away at least." He hoped... if he got lucky, perhaps he'd get to do the introductions himself. Bevy wouldn't chase him away with her daughter in tow. He couldn't imagine moving back with the Maji. They'd never have him.

He was giving up his daughters to them, though... maybe then, they could be safe. At least... at least until they were old enough to choose.

I was curious now. Why did he want to breed with two different females? Was it love, heat of the moment, or simply put - survival? I observed him as he spoke, soaking in the information.
"I don't mean to be rude, but I'm not sure I understand this. Why are their two mothers?"
I was careful with my tone, making sure it wasn't too outright. Words laced in sheer curiosity and ignorance in the fact of how to reproduce. I instantly felt regret for asking but I had to know.

{short and shitty, love me anyway}
