BARATHEON
"the world is mine for the taking"

Was it true? The rumors he'd heard about the black dragon of Polaris? He was inclined to believe it. Well, not merely the fact that it was there, he knew that to be truth himself, but rather the fact that a group were gathering to fight it. That was a bit far'fetched. It had been there for so long and no one had done anything about it before now. Why did they just choose now to do it? The giant bird they had spoken of? Hmph, because of an overgrown chicken they all wanted to fight? Seemed silly to him but still, if they wanted a war then he would gladly do his part. He hated that dragon just as much as anyone. Probably even more for what it had done to Booker. He was angry at his brother but while he was on hiatus he would eliminate one of the threats to the numbat. Possibly even get his tiny brother his home back. That was a win-win situation. However, the fight wasn't for another day yet and he had time to lose. Perhaps he would run a bit of reconnaissance before it all started.

"KOORUUUUUU!"

Or perhaps he would hunt!

His instinct took over as he heard the call of a Kooru. The deer-like creature was bounding away from him, its hooves clacking on the ground and its prehensile tail raised high in fear as it fled. With a resounding roar the dragon lunged and grabbed the creature firmly but carefully. He did not want to fall into his bloodlusted state and so he was careful not to puncture the creature's flesh with his sharp fangs. The Kooru screeched in fright but to no avail as it was swallowed whole.

Pleased at the meal Baratheon ran his blue tongue around his jowels as he gazed around the tunnel for any other impromptu meal. Hmmm? Was that something hiding behind a few rocks? To check, the dragon raised his long tail and smacked it heavily on the ground. From his hard-smacking tail the ground began to quake and out from its hiding spot ran a Jungle Deer. Far from its home? Most likely. How unfortunate for it because again Baratheon snatched the prey up and swallowed it whole.

The dragon smacked his lips together with obvious pleasure before dropping to the ground with a satisfied grunt. What was he going to do first, reconnaissance? Well... That could wait, now he wanted to groom himself and perhaps wait for something else good to wander by. So, he began to use his sharp fangs to bite at the scales on his stomach and chest, removing grit and dirt from the smooth surface.

After his encounter with the owl, ghost was eager to get on his way and continue slinking around in the shadows looking for a safe and quiet home. Despite the meeting being somewhat pleasant, he wasnt any less wary of anyone else in the tunnel. Hed been moving for an hour or so when he heard a very loud roar. The boy cowered, afraid the sound was closer than it actually was. When the floor rumled and some small rocks fell off the walls, ghost yelped and ran towards the sound instead of away.

It was difficult running when youre blind, especially if you have absolutely no idea where you are. This was ghosts dilemma, however he hadnt quite realized it yet just like he hadnt realized he was running straight towards the sounds. He stumbled a few times over rocks but picked himself up fast. It was when he was just a few meters away from the dragon when it flopped on the ground and grunted.

Ghost froze in his tracks, skidding to a stop actually, and listened. He could heard something, but he couldnt tell what. He sniffed at the air, wondering what this enormous creature was, but it didnt tell him anything. Unaware of the size of the creature, or let alone what it was, Ghost decided to try and sneak past the beast, his body pressed hard into the wall for guidance.

There he was, just lazing about and grooming his scales, when something disturbed the peace. He didn't quite know how he knew but he felt it, somehow. His instincts warned him to listen and scent and that was exactly what he did. His ears raised, his nostrils flared, and he focused on both of those senses. At first, he heard nothing, just the normal rhythms of the cave so he stopped paying attention. However, it was when he heard the ever so faint click of a rock being disturbed from its place... That was when he lifted his ears and turned his head in the direction of the disturbance.

His great pink eyes locked onto something new and at first he lifted his fangs, preparing himself to snatch up another bit of prey... But they lowered again. This was no hapless cave deer, this was a greater gembound. A wolf. Baratheon blinked his eyes as he stared at the canine with some interest. Why? That was simple... This creature was just so pink! He remembered the white skunk from Merrymen but he was so enraged and full of depression then that he'd hardly noted her but now that he was free to appreciate the smaller things in life... He found himself very interested in this wolf.

His fur, its lack of coloration turning itself to pink in Bara's vision reminded him of Flafe and thus it made him like the creature right off the bat. Not only that but unlike Flafe this wolf had brighter pink on its face! The color was like a beacon, a shiny thing that immediately attracted Baratheon's gaze. The dragon let out a pleased rumble and snaked his head down towards the wolf. He turned his head so that one monstrous pink eye stared down at the wolf's face only inches away.

Snick. Went his eyelid as he blinked once but continued to stare, transfixed by the beacon of pink at the pink wolf's face. The pleased rumble never died down from his chest as he stared unabashedly but not speaking yet, he was too far gone in his trance.

ooc - sorry its short! Work post :c of theres not enough for you to reply to, just let me know <3

His own ear twitched when he heard the tiny rock scatter across the floor when he skidded to a stop. Worried the sound would attract the being, Ghost could only hope he was in the shadows enough to not be seen. Apparently, however, he wasnt in the shadows at all but standing dead center in the middle of the tunnel. His nose worked the air more, however the being began to move and it startled him, making him cower more and tuck his tail up between his legs.

A shadow was cast over what little vision he had and his lip curled into a warning snarl. No sound came from the mans throat, but he did take a step back. Having no idea how large a dragon was, Ghost wasnt as terrified as he couldve been, but he was definitely afraid. The being didnt make a sound as he stared at the wolf, so there was no gauging his size except for the wide shadow his head casted.

Snick. Went the eye as he blinked again, continuing to stare at the canine. There was no aggression in his gaze, only a bright interest and almost dazed curiosity. What was this? Why was it so bright and pink? Sure, a lot of things in his vision was pink but this... This was like a light that attracted him straight to it. Could... Could he touch it?

The dragon lifted one paw, slowly, carefully he reached a claw towards the wolf's face. What he wanted was simply, to touch the bright pink of his face... Just a tiny touch...

Ghost was unaware of the freckle-like stones on his face and also the stones others carried. He didnt even know what he was to be honest. What he did know was that he didnt like his face being touched by this thing with paws nearly larger than his head. A deep growl rumbled in his chest before emurging in a frightened, but loud bark. get back! his teeth clicked together but his lip curled into a snarl.

He had practiced earlier in the tunnel with that rock and his budge spell, but this being seemed much larger than that rock. Either way, he hoped the magic would work and get this beast away from him, or even enough to get him to lay off. So he concentrated hard and with another, smaller growl, hoped to warn the dragon with a rough push... However that would not be the case.

Closer and closer his claw drew as he prepared to touch just one of those freckles. However, he snapped quickly out of his trance when a sharply growled voice spoke to him. "Get back!" Baratheon blinked but complied, lifting his head away a a few feet but still staring quite hard at the wolf.

It took a moment for him to gather his voice but when he did it sounded quieter than normal and a bit surprised. "Sorry... Didn't mean to frighten you. Your face just looks very..." His head turned to the side again and stared before rumbling out in a happy purr. "Pretty. It's so bright." He leaned forward again. Unlike most gembounds he didn't view personal space and attractiveness the same so he felt no embarrassment now.

However, he did remember the growls again and leaned back. Sitting on his rump while looking down at the wolf.

Ghost had to admit that he didnt expect an apology out of something so large. He didnt know what the beast meant about his face - hed never seen his face. However with the beast backing off some, the male allowed himself to relax a little. He sat back on his haunches and pressed his forepaws together on the ground in front of him. He looked towards where he assumed the sound to be coming from, but he really had no clue.

what about my face? I... Ive never seen it before. he admitted to the beast as he tilted his face away from the dragon, but the words slipped through his mouth when it was really just supposed to be a thought. His brows pressed together then, confused.

Baratheon stared at the canine, eyes still on the mesmerising pink gem. He only snapped out of his trance again when the wolf spoke. Stating that he hadn't ever seen his own face. Well, that was strange and unfortunate...

The Dragon looked around. Pink eyes searching for something that the wolf could look into to spy his own face. His sharp eyes located a small pool of water, frozen over from the icy conditions I the tunnel. Baratheon leaned over to it and breathed onto it while tapping into his magick.

The spell along with his breath managed to melt the ice in the center though along the edges there was still some ice. Still, that should be a good enough spot for the pink wolf to see himself.

The Dragon turned his head back to look at the wolf."Come take a look." One couldn't go through life never knowing how they looked, after all.

Ghost knew little on the abilities of others, but he figured himself to be hardly different from others. He didnt know what it meant to see since hed never been able to see much besides light and dark. He only saw shapes of light was behind them, and even still, it was only just a blurry shadow. So when the dragon invited him to a pool of water, he didnt know better but than to follow.

He looked down at the water, or what he assumed was water, and saw nothing different. He frowned then and sat. He didnt know what it meant to be blind nor did he know the word itself. He just knew that his world was dark, but others could apparently see things he couldnt. His brows furrowed and he turned back towards baratheon. I'm confused...
