This takes place a day BEFORE the fight with Rah in the Fiery Pit Quest.

Just leaving this here to be listened to

Paws pounded across the stone floor, frenzied in their gate and without any true destination. She just had to get away. He had been so angry.. and then Makyna had to show up. Everything was crumbling down around her and she felt lost. Tears blurred her vision, making it extremely hard for her to see just where exactly she was going. The air was hot, alight with a fire she could only see in small flickers as she raced away from the only two gembounds she had ever thought as family. In all honestly she had thought that the fire and heat that Leon had produced in his anger was still clinging to her. Not that she was racing right into the fires created by the very beast she had seen risen from it's sleep.

Sobs tore through her very heart, nearly deafening the sounds of her thudding paws. Her mind was in a mess of chaotic emotions and frenzied thoughts. She had attacked them. Letting her emotions get the better of her and struck out at both of them. It absolutely shattered her to think she would have ever even thought to raise her claws to her siblings. When had she let things bother her so much? She continued to run, hoping to all hell that the other two were not following her. She did not want to confront them again. She did not want to fight with them anymore. It just needed to be over and she had to leave. There would be no going back now, not after what she had done. She had been so angry with him, with her big brother, but now as she ran from them she was unsure if her anger was even justified.

It wasn't long before a piece of rock, or gem she wasn't sure, had caught her paw and she suddenly went falling forward. Flipping over herself and soon rolling a good few feet as she did so. Another cry tore through her as she finally slowed to a stop just along side the river. Pain shocked up through her leg, jarring her emotions even further and she was left to do no other but to curl about herself and cry hysterically, now from both physical pain and emotional pain. She pulled her leg closer to herself, giving in to her sobs very unaware of her own surroundings in that moment.

If it hadn't been the sobbing that attracted the dragon's attention, then it would most certainly be the sound of her stumbling and tripping over a chunk of rock, rolling on the ground only to belt out another few pathetic cries as he watched her curl into herself. For such a massive beast, the dragon was startlingly silent in his swiftness. He unfurled himself from his perch, his neck having angled to face the clouded leopard as she stopped along the river's edge. His wings stretched out, balancing him as he descended the spire - from that distance, his movements were unheard. Even in his approach, it was the low rumbling of his throat that broke the silence first, towering over the minuscule little feline that had sought refuge in his kingdom. "My my," The dragon crooned as he stepped towards her, cocking his head towards the cat. "it appears you have stumbled into my humble abode."

The voice startled her. Jolting her up to her paws, but as pressure pushed into her now injured paw caused her to cry out and stumble once again. Her gaze lifted and almost instantly fear shook her very being as her eyes went wide. "Ra...Raheerah..." She stuttered as her tail instantly tucked beneath her and she shuffled back away from the beast. Her eyes darted this way and that, desperately searching for anything that could give her a chance at escape. A whimper escaped her as she looked towards the drake again. "I-I-I'm sorry. I'm leaving. I...." she trailed off unsure what to say as she tried to stall, tried to find a way to escape knowing if she did not things would not go well.

She spoke his name, and the dragon drew his lips back in a wide, wicked and Hellish smile, the arrogance of his ego fed by her acknowledgment. They should all know his name. They should all know to tremble before him like she did. Had the beast had a desire beyond destruction, he would take her and make her his for her obedience -

alas, he did not.

She stammered over an attempt to escape, but the dragon snorted a derisive, snarling laugh and lunged forward, curling his massive body around her and blocking all points of exit. His massive wings opened up around him, one of them encasing the coil in which he had ensnared the feline, blocking her from the world around her. "Not so fast, precious." He rumbled, massive head looming ever closer. "Won't you tell Raheerah why you so rudely-" The dragon spat and growled. "-intruded on his home?" His head lingered ever nearer, hot breath rolling from his lips reeking of scorched skin and decay.
Amaria nearly cried out when the dragon rushed towards her. Her heart drummed loudly against her chest as anxiety quickly overwhelmed her. She cowarded in the middle of her, curling up into herself as her body trembled with the fright that now consumed her. Nothing else mattered. Not cancer. Not her child. Not the fight she just had with Leon. His words vibrated through her entire being and she couldn't help the low hiss that escaped her. "I was running away from my brother! I hurt him and my sister. I'm sorry! Please let me go! I won't ever trespass here again! Please. Please don't kill me," she sobbed loudly, clenching her eyes shut tight, "pleAse...I have a child..."

The beast could only tolerate so much sniveling before it drove his patience away, and when she cried out pleading for mercy, the dragon clenched his teeth with a violent hiss and a low growl, shoving his head closer to her while his wings flared out again and his body unfurled. The dragon's head whipped back and words erupted from him like a violent volcano. "Then let the consequences of your impudence serve as a warning to your filthy vermin child and all else who dare to oppose the GREAT! DRAGON! RAHEEEERAAAAHHH!" He declared, and his voice shook the room in its deafening bellow. He lunged at the feline and scooped her up in his massive jaws, gnashing teeth tearing the clouded leopard to shreds. The beast swung his head and let loose the carcass of the clouded leopard, throwing her mangled body at full force against the wall nearest the entrance of Tunnel N.

Soon as he loosed his grip on the feline, he exploded in a monstrous laugh that thundered throughout the core, no longer concerned with the little leopard - what was left of her, at least.

(Exit Raheerah)
It all happened quickly. His words roared out and the next thing she knew lightning hot pain shocked through her entire body and a shattering howl of pain errupted from the felines. Fangs sunk deep into all pats of her body and there was nothing she could do to fight against the giant beast. Anger fueled into her as she felt a strange sensation wash over her. Everything begin to numb and a white hot light blinded her vision. Her mangled body struck against the ground and motionlessly she staid there. Blood dribbled from her lips, pooled out of the tears and rips that now covered her body. Slowly her tail twitched and soon a change in her gem began to shift and change. Slowly Turquoise shards began to spread out from her tail, moving to encase her body in a large Chrysalis that bore many points and curves as it shifted and molded to pull her nearly lifeless body into it's protective embrace.

Eyes fluttered close as the pain was washed away by the pure numbness of nothingness and a familiar sensation washed over her. A sensation she had not experience since her awakening. The last thoughts she could manage to even comprehend whispered out, echoing within the Chrysalis as she fell into a deep slumber while her gem began meticulous work to keep it's host alive...

You will regret this...
