As the disgusting, metallic smell swelled up (followed by some well-placed screaming) Isi had not stayed for long. In fact, instead of running towards the mysterious screaming, the stag had decided to run away from it and ran out of Eridanus all together.
Now she was in a new place that, except for the first foot or so into it, had absolutely no plants. This new place didn't seem to be a room at all, more of a passage-way. That she felt a distinct disliking to.
Isi half-immediately took it upon herself to march back into Eridanus, bearing the awful stench, and she began looking for seeds. She found tiny bulbs amongst the ferns; flowers, ferns, bushes, even a cone had fallen from a tree. With the beloved items carried carefully in her mouth she stumbled back to the tunnel and looked around.
The placed them down by a rock and took the first one - nothing but a tiny daisy, and placed it on a boulder.
As the elk touched the bulb gently with her nose the seed broke and began to sprout roots that wrapped around the rock, a small and delicate green stem sprouting out from the roots, but then abruptly stopping in it's tracks. It hadn't even began to sprout leaves yet.
Isi felt herself become horribly disappointed and she gently nuzzled the stem with her nose. She decided to try something else with another little daisy bulb, picking it up in her mouth and twisting her head back to place it carefully between her shoulder blades.
She shivered as her skin completely changed to something that couldn't really be considered skin anymore - instead something made to host and grow plants themselves. She was sure that it would generate enough minerals to grow the plants she put on her back.
She touched the bulb on her back with her nose once more, already exhausted - but alas nothing happened. The stag slowly lowered herself down onto her belly and she rested her head on the boulder to gaze at the sprout that had began to grow on it.
