Fallah stared as her friend fell apart. Whatever world he was in was not this one. Fallah looked to Black, then back to Fisher, "Fisher... Fisher! Who is Deus? Fisher-" Fallah aimed to try to paw him off of Black, "Fisher, you need to tell us- Black-" At a loss, the lynx looked to her dog friend. Black moved to contain Fisher and Fallah stepped forward unintentionally, "Careful." she breathed, "Fisher, long brown friend, you are okay..." Fallah didn't know how to stop him, how to snap him out of this shock... she needed to... Needed to... Her magic roused and Fallah aimed to hive Fisher a small, soft dousing of water to his face, "Fisher, it's us, it's us!"

She was scared.

@fisher @black

As Fisher tried desperately to get through the mangled, bloody white fur, trying to find the stone of the creature he knew for only a few moments before her untimely demise, two voices tugged at his ears. Like a bad dream, something or someone-- two someones-- was trying to pull him back to reality. His body was pinned down by a great weight that wasn't crushing even though it was confining, and then a sharp, biting cold rush of water soaked his face and he closed his eyes tight.

Fallah's voice called his name, saying it was them... Black's voice, saying it was Black, asking who Deus was. The water ran down his cheeks and he snorted away the dribbles that tried to get into his nose, shaking his head and scattering water everywhere. As he finally opened his copper eyes once more, he saw Black's big paws and wrinkled face, Fallah along side him. The noodle wagged his tail softly at his friends, a bit lost-- it was like waking up from a dream. Everything felt foggy and strange, but somehow the dream had felt more real than it usually did.

"Fallah? Black?" He whined softly, reaching forward to nuzzle and lick at both of his friends. "Where am I?" The feeling of snow was gone, but he could still see the blueish tint of Polaris shining behind his friends. "... What happened?" He had an idea of what had happened, some kind of bad dream taking over his waking world, but he wasn't sure... And he didn't know how to answer Black's question of who Deus' was, either.

Black stared down at Fisher, only slowly coming to the realization that he was "himself" once more. The black dog carefully, and just as slowly, pulled away, retracting first one paw and then the other before backing off and sitting down.

Fisher seemed calmer--dazed, but calmer.

"We were fighting. This is Polaris. You spoke of Deus. I am not Deus," Black added matter-of-factly.

Just in case.

He tilted his heavy head to one side. Fisher still hadn't explained--but then, he didn't seem quite himself. He almost looked as if he were still blinking awake, out of a dream; perhaps the monster had cast some magic on him? Black turned, glancing back at the fissure where the organ-meat-monster had fallen away. The alligator nearby had gone off and was eating the bits that remained; no one seemed to be too badly injured. Black turned his gaze back to Fisher, blinking at him.

Fallah had been in a near-panic, but her magic had helped, at least. Black spared her a glance, the faintest nod of acknowledgement, before again speaking--again at Fisher.

"Are you all right?"

Fallah watched nervously as Fisher came to. Her eyes locked on her small friend. Fisher asked about his surroundings and Black answered him, finishing by saying he was not Deus. Fallah shook her head, "I am not Dues either..." Fallah's heart still hammered in her chest, but she felt better having Fisher calmer., "Who is Deus...?" she asked, trying not to crows Fisher. She lowered herself onto the ground and aimed to press her face into the damp fur of the side of his neck, "It's okay, everyone is okay..."

Fisher stared at his friends, still in a daze. They were so worried... What had happened? He glanced towards the eyesore of bone and muscles and felt a shiver up his spine. "... I'm alright," he said reluctantly as Fallah pressed her cheek into the nook of his neck and he reached down to lick at her ear. "Sorry... It, I, uh, a bad dream. I just..." He was grasping for the words, but he didn't have the right ones.

Smoothing out his fur with a deep breath and forcing himself calm, the noodle rose to his paws. "It's no one. Just someone I used to know," he explained after a heartbeat, letting his copper gaze flash between the two of his friends. "Come on, let's get away from that mess... It might make us sick." He had no idea if that was true, honestly, it was more of an excuse than anything else. He started to skulk off, glancing back after a few pawsteps to make sure his friends were coming with him.
