Ash shook her head hard in response to Cure's first question, a frustrated huff escaping her throat. She definitely wasn't a rat, and she certainly didn't even resemble one in the slightest. She was as much a rat as the other feathered creature here, so...

Regardless, it seemed like Cure was coming to her defense and trying to play nice still. That alone caused the hybrid mustelid to settled down, the feathers around her scruff laying flat once more. As Cure told her sister about her wings, the fluffy noodle's ears perked up, glancing towards the crimson and ebony hybrid.

The response however wasn't... Anywhere near what she had expected. Ash's dark eyes batted at the words, twisting her head around to look at her hindquarters. Her stomach shrunk, a painful constriction happening in her throats as the feline-bird squawked her concern about the butt wings being wrong... And then asked if they could eat her.

The noodle whipped around and shot a sharp glare at Remedy, ignoring the warning she shot her sister. As if Ash would bite the very nice sister, anyway. No, if she was gonna bite anyone, it would be the red noisy one.

With a huff, she flapped her wings and tried to make a point for the one who thought it was polite to suggest that they could eat company. The air in the area seemed to swell under her as she pushed off the ground, fluttering into the air. She did look rather silly, her butt in the air and her nose nearly touching the ground, but she bared her teeth in a vicious grin.

Cure had been watching her new friend and when she seemed to eventually shake her head no at her it wasn't hard for the hybrid leopard to understand what she was trying to say. She was definitely no rat. As far as she was concerned, rats weren't as adorable as this creature in front of her. She lifted her head proudly, happy she had been right about Ash not being a rat, but when her sister began to speak she turned her gaze towards the cat-bird hybrid. She tilted her head and pondered over Remedy saying the wings were wrong. Turning here gaze towards Ash again she frowned as she saw she too had turned to look at her wings. "It doesn't look wrong to me..." She murmured thoughtfully as she crossed her two paws in front of her. Of course... She didn't have wings so it's not like she could honestly know these things. Maybe their Dad and mom would know if it were wrong or not?

Cure was startled by Remedy's next question and she looked at here in shock. "We can't eat her sis! She's like us! I mean...I don't see any sort of gem on her...but she knows what we're saying..." Cure paused for a moment as she turned her gaze towards the gembound that was still with here back against the wall, "Food can't do that remember. Plus...she's my friend now," Cure gave a large, toothy grin as she once again reached out a paw and playfully swatted it at Ash. She huffed when Remedy warned her and she turned a pout to her twin. "She wont bite...Mama won't be mad!" At least Cure hoped her mother wouldn't be mad that they had a visitor anyways.

Movement had quickly drawn her attention back to Ash and the moment she saw the little creature flying off the ground she was once again grinning widely as she jumped up to her paws. "See! if wings were wrong she wouldn't be able to fly like that," She said excitedly as she instantly bounced over to Ash, circling around her with all the curiosity any young feline surely had. "I bet it's so fun to fly. Remmy, I bet you'll be awesome too when you can fly!" She turned her excited grin to her twin as she pranced over to her and once again affectionately rubbed her side down along her sister's

Remedy frowned at Cure's insistence that this little creature wasn't food. Sure looked like food to the hybrid twin, who sat with her head cocked in a disgruntled, mistrustful manner. The proper feline sister had a valid point though- prey couldn't understand gemspeak. But this thing didn't talk. It made noises, it could mimic their voices, but it couldn't actually speak- and another thing, where precisely was this little thing's stone? Remedy was suspicious as it flustered and floundered about.

Then, it started flying. It wasn't a good flyer, but it lifted from the ground with its weird butt wings and hovered in place, paws in the air. Remedy felt her feathers rise, fluffing up around her neck and the back of her head, along her shoulders and the edges of her wings. She scowled across at the fluttering creature as her sister yowled praise. At the reminder that she couldn't fly yet, Remedy looked away sharply.

"It looks stupid, fluttering by its butt like that." She scorned, sounding more grumpy than before. Green wasn't a good color on Remedy, who had slouched herself into a sulking posture, a narrow-eyed glare out of the corner of her eye at the creature expressing her disgust at its ability to fly- and her lacking such skills just yet.

What if she never could fly? What if her wings never developed those long, primary feathers she needed to stay aloft? Suddenly, a spiteful hatred had bubbled up in Remedy's chest for the little creature who fluttered before them. How was it fair that a butt-winged rat-thing was able to fly before she could?

With a huff of disgruntled annoyance, Rem flapped her larger wings twice, as if to settle the ruffled plumage there. Stupid rat thing. No fair.

Again, the more feline of the pair of twins spoke up in her defense. Immediately, Ash couldn't help but find herself liking Cure. She was kind, even to strangers, something that Ash would have never expected. The way the Bonebound seemed to work was that those loyal stayed in Canis and ignored anyone who wasn't part of their group. Of course, she was fairly small and didn't understand that her father was probably just trying to protect her by isolating her, but regardless...

A warmth fluttered through her paws as Cure called her a friend, and as the feline said she wouldn't bite... Well, of course Ash nodded firmly, clicking her teeth together. The red and black sister was a big judgmental meanie, but Cure was quickly making things right. The noodle's tail swished back and forth behind her as she watched the bird-cat's reaction to her ability to fly "flawlessly".

The bird-cat, however, called her stupid again. Ash's cheeks puffed out indignantly, pouting at the mean sister of the pair. Just what was her deal? Immediately, however, the noodle recognized that kind of sulky slouch, the way that Remedy wasn't quite looking at her. The huff and ruffled feathers-- and a small thought clicked in the fuzzy noodle.

Ash plopped back down on to the ground with a puff of dust and, cocking her head to one side, she crept closer to the bird-cat. She flapped her butt wings testingly, and as carefully as she could, she tried to summon her magic once more.

Unfortunately for her, it seemed any attempts to clarify her thoughts into actions or words were to fail on that day. Immediately, instead of the wind scooping up the sister of her friend into the air like she had wanted, a pain started in her throat and she began to cough violently-- the air in her lungs being forced out painfully. She clawed at the ground, face squinting up in agony, as she tried to get her magic back under control so she could breathe.

Cure watched her twin closely when she had responded with such mean words. Her ears pinned back for a small moment before she padded towards Remedy and with an adoring purr, Cure nuzzled up against her sister. "Awe, c'mon sis. what's wrong," She murmured, watching Remmy's features closely. she didn't quite understand the look in the gryphon's featurse, but if she had to guess it was probably over the flying part. She was about to say something else to her sister, but a sudden coughing fit coming from Ash instantly stole her attention away.

"Eeehk, you okay there?" She asked in concern as she continued to keep herself pressed up affectionately against her twin. The agony that twisted over the little creatures features was concerning, but as much as she wanted to help the poor thing Cure had no idea what she should do. It wasn't every day she saw someone in pain. Usually it was just her for getting into trouble and some how managing to hurt herself. When that happened it was her Papa or mama helping to soothe it.

Pain filled her chest and a forgotten fear clung to the noodle, bringing her to a darker place-- a place she was too frightened to understand. She shut her eyes tight and coughed again, backing away from the two creatures. She hoped they would forgive her, but a sense of dread called her away from them for now.

She did not say goodbye as she scrambled up the wall, though she couldn't have if she wanted. Her brown tail was the last flash of her form that they could see as she retreated, racing away from an unknown monster in the shadows.
