ORIGIN

National Novel Writing Month

Have you ever wanted to participate in NaNoWriMo, but felt intimidated? Or maybe you are participating in it and you just want to show off your progress! This month we'll be celebrating NaNoWriMo in our own special little Origin way, and hopefully doing so will help to pump up your guys' muse! Don't worry, you don't have to focus on writing strictly on Origin - we understand that everybody has different interests, and Origin is a writing community at its heart, so we'd like to celebrate all kinds of writing this month!

Writing Goals
The point of NaNoWriMo is to complete a 50k word novel by the end of November. Therefore, it should stand to reason that you meet a goal of 1.6k words every day in order to achieve 50k words. We'd like to do everything we can to help you meet this goal, whether you're writing a novel or just writing for fun! So, we're going to be giving out some prizes for those that are able to meet their writing goal! These goals are the same whether you're writing for yourself, or writing posts on Origin, and they are cumulative - meaning you can claim all of them at the same time if you complete the requirements, except for the Consolation Tier (can only be claimed if you don't claim any other Tiers).

Participation
To participate, simply post below with links to the posts you've made + a word count for each post. It's best to add the date to them as well in order to keep track. If you're writing your novel instead, you can post the official NaNoWriMo widget (thanks Shafaer!) so that we can keep track alongside you!

Have fun, everybody!
