It would have felt like a disaster if Damian truly cared about the gift Macawi had given him did not accept the coyote's magic. And it seemed like it would not. With a shrug from his wings Damian watched the canine roll back onto her back, once again exposing her belly to him. Did she not care how vunerable that made her? If he was any worse than he already was, he would have probably taken advantage at an easy kill, but there was just something about this strange little canine that Damian liked. He didn't find her annoying at all, but rather something of intrigue. Without a sound coming from him caused by his own thoughts, Damian reached down for the copper band and plucked it from the ground. It wasn't anything spectacular, but it was still a gift. With a shrug her moved his wing around and eyed the appendage. He frowned when he found the band would be too large to fight securely on the hook of his wing so he moved his wing back to tuck neatly against his back.

Turning his gaze to Macawi once more he hummed thoughtfully to himself. It wouldn't hurt to try one last time. Yet, still nothing happened so he just tossed the idea out of his thoughts with an annoyed grunt. "So...if you don't eat deer, just what is it you feed on?" He eyed her for a moment, vaguely curious what she chose to eat instead of those delicious cave deer.

OoC: I feel as if you're mocking him on his magic, or lack theere of XD. Sorry for the wait.

OOC: Editing an ending to this because it's old now.

Macawi watched Damian attempt to fit the ring onto his wing-thing. He seemed annoyed that it didn’t fit, but then he got over it. He stared at her for a long minute, and she didn’t bother to wonder why. She stared at other Gembounds sometimes. They could stare back at her if they wanted to. Little did she know that he was staring because he was attempting to shroud her in darkness. Not that she would have cared had he succeeded. That would have been fun! Any funny! Still, his staring made her want to make her eyes red again…

And with just that thought, she felt her Magic thrum through her face up to her eyes and her vision turned a shade of crimson. She grinned wildly, much as she had when she’d first greeted the wolf-bat. She said nothing, though, and then Damien asked her a question. A question she’d already given him the answer to. “Hm,” she replied shortly. Part of her wanted to comment about how he clearly wasn’t paying attention to her. And part of her just wanted to mess with him as payback for it. She glanced away from him, thinking for a moment, and then she grinned at him again, eyes still glowing red. “Macawi eats rocks. Doesn’t This One know that all witches eat rocks? And Macawi is the Witch of the Caves! You remember that, don’t you?”

After a time, Macawi decided she'd spent long enough with her new... friend, or... whatever Damian was to her. She said her goodbyes, and trotted away, wondering when she would meet the wolf-bat again.
