Ashtoreth did not know what to do. She cried, she sobbed, she shook and she tried to scream but it wouldn't STOP. The bird was killing everything, and now it turned to her and her sister, soaked in blood, and she felt everything leave her body. She had to get to her father, but her limbs weren't working. Her feathers just puffed and bristled as she tried to hide, tried to block out the stench of blood and pain.

Why wasn't she used to this by now? Everything in life was cruel. She knew how to overcome it-- just block it out, keep smiling. She played a song in her head, one her father sang to her once. One of her little fang, and focused on the good things in life. She could forget this. She forgot so much already. She just had to escape, save her dad, and then... Then things would be normal, and she could forget and act like the perfect little Star.

But she could not hide, her magic continued to do nothing. She instead scrambled for the fallen rocks, hoping to dig under the rubble to find her father... and to get away, to hide, from the awful bird who was probably going to fight Liora next. She got to the rubble pile in a flash and started to dig with her tiny paws, trying not to draw attention to herself but also oh so frantic. If the green monster came after her next, what could she do? Nothing, nothing, nothing.

Listen to me + Hear my thoughts

Macawi had been blissful for a few minutes, content to sit next to the giant three-headed dog forever and listen to the Leader Bird’s words. Except, then suddenly a fight had broken out? And she realized that she really didn’t want to be here. Without paying too much attention to what was even going on at this point, she crept slowly away, towards a tunnel entrance. She kept her tiny body low to the ground, ears flat against her head, tail tucked ‘round a back leg. There was nothing wrong with fearing for her safety, though it was a bit odd for her to be so concerned. Normally, she leapt without thinking, as the saying goes.

Finally, she had slow-crawled her way to the tunnel. She turned to look back at the fighting, her gem flashing in the light for a moment and casting a rainbow against the ground, then she turned back around and disappeared. Whether anyone noticed her leaving or not, she didn’t know. And she didn’t care. All she cared about was getting away. Maybe she’d come back later, when all had, hopefully, calmed down. Did she feel bad for not helping? No, considering she literally didn’t know a single Gembound in that room. So, it wasn’t her fight. Therefore, she was perfectly content to disappear…

((just throwing this exit post in here, cos I've been bad and haven't replied to this in weeks)).
Everything happened so quickly. Azazel and the green bird started fighting and it all had turned for the worse. The BoneBound King had fallen. Raikzik was left stunned when the king was suddenly crushed by the stelactite. Then Kerberos went charging in and soon fell. Feather's ruffled as everything in him said to fight, but he knew better. He was not prepared. If the great King and the three-headed had been bested by this strange green bird what kind of hope did he particularly have? None. So with a final cast towards all the others gathered, Raikzik hobbled backwards and soon took his exit. There was nothing he could do here and he certainly wasn't ready to have the greeen bird go after him next.

Oh.

It hurt so bad.

So... fucking bad.

He felt broken... mangled... destroyed.

Buried beneath a pile of rubble, The Bone King lay, dull carmine eyes staring out into the darkness. Slowly, he blinked, almost welcoming the darkness that came with the motion.

He could faintly hear the roar of battle around him, and he weakly tried to lift his head, but it was futile. He was broken. His stone was glowing and already beginning to overtake his form with red jasper, enveloping his broken form and working about the rubble upon his form, gently shifting it out of the way.

Azazel's throat went dry as he realized. Gertrude. He... he couldn't get to them. He had to. Kerberos. Kerberos could save them. Feebly, he used the last of his magicka and strength to speak to the great canine.

But it wasn't enough. With the cast, he began to drift away out of awareness. His lungs burned as he cried out. "Take... care of them... Kerberos." He didn't know if he'd be heard from beneath the rubble or not... but that was alright.

He closed his eyes.

His stone enveloped him fully.

He faded into deep slumber.
