ORIGIN

THAT was a GREAt foobaw game, and Leon was literally so smart forthicnking of such a great game, it was so much fun, even though he went up against fisher but that was fine because he felt tlike they had done a good enough job of rekindling their friendship, because they were friends, right? The thought was pretty heavy on his mind for a long time after they reunited since the Raheerah fight, but Leon hadn't ever really voiced it and he had half a mind to ask Makyna about it but he didn't want to put a damper on their fun - no, and besides, he ended up kind of foregetting about it a few seconds after the thought rose anyways. The foobaw game was over now, and everybody was beginning to lumber drunkenly back to their home so that they could get some rest - the party was pretty draining. It was fun, but the bear didn't realize how exhausting it ended up being.

He led the mass of Gembounds belonging to Maji Walezi back towards the Pisces room, walking in a lopsided line with consioderable wiggles and loops as he consistently turned to make sure that everybody who was supposed to be following was indeed following, And then he would turn to look at Makyna with a goofy grin and lean forward and bury his face in her thick and soft fur on her neck and trip over his paws, then he would continue walking because oh right, I almost totally forgot that we're going home, and they priobably didn't want to see him start to get all up in Makyna's business. That was probably something best left to the privacy of their den, which he realized he was very eager to return to after the crazy wedding party and the football game.

Most of it ended up being a blur to him, he didn't really remember omst of the journey. It didn't take very long thankfully, and somewhere behind him the members of Maji Weazeli were chattering amongst themselves, laughing, belting out songs as was commonplace in the waterfall group, and every now and then LEon's own baritone voice rose up among the intonations in an attempt to mirror their jaunty tune. Then, suddenly, they were climbing their way back up to the den and all Leon wanted to do was touch the lioness' pretty fur and smell her and pull the flowers off of her, so it probably took longer than it had to to get up there, but then finally they were there and Leon giggled and lumbered into the depths of the alcove, glancing provocatively back at Makyna. "COME.... join me my lady..." He purred, rolling his shoulders back as he turned to face her and swept an arm outward. "LEt us lay together for the first time as man *HIC* and wife,"

"Makyna Speech"

Oh, how fun that foobaw game had been! She hadn't actively participated but instead she'd been cheering on the sidelines for her teddy bear. During her intense bouts of screaming for joy, drunken singing, and leaping up and down for joy her tiara had fallen askew and her fur had turned a tad bit dusty. Normally this would have been remedied quite quickly but now she was far too fuzzy headed to do anything about it. She was also a tad bit tired... Cheering was a tough tough business.

Now she walked alongside her teddy bear, fur intertwining with his and pawsteps matching his own... well, almost matching his own, every once in a while she would end up stumbling and almost falling only to catch herself once more. For a moment they stopped and the bear buried his face in his face in her ruff which caused a peal of laughter from the lioness. Unlike him she didn't care if everyone was looking. Let'em look! She'd give'em a show! She gave another laugh and a purr as he pulled away.

The raucous cheers of her friends led her on, straight back to Pisces where she turned to her Leon and grinned widely at him. Then, they were heading up to her den. Boy... It seemed a whole lot further up than it normally did but they finally made it. At his grin the lioness smiled and turned away, playing a coy lady even though she was far from it. "Oh myyy, I'm not sure. What if my baby bear wants to eat me all up?" She giggled, one paw lifted to her muzzle demurely before she extended it out to touch Leon's paw. Or rather... She attempted to touch Leon's paw. Instead she ended up tripping over her own feet and falling and tumbling to the ground. There she lay on her back with her forepaws in the air and her rear paws on the ground.

Makyna snickered and put one paw up to her brow in a feigned look of exhaustion. "Oh, my... It appears that my teddy bear has smitten me with his devilish charm. Oh, I feel faint..." Behind that paw was a grin, a wide toothy grin and if one would remove the paw they would see mischief shining in those blue eyes.

The lioness grinned from behind her paw. Too sweet? Oh, this bear was just going to make her melt with his words. He always knew just what to say. Even if he said nothing it was all too perfect just to spend time with him! Just like now! She giggled still pretending to hide behind her one paw until finally she could pretend no longer. Both of her paws reached up and grabbed Leon on either side of his fuzzy face. "Don't worry, I could never go to sleep on my teddy bear!" The lioness lifted her head up and booped him right on the nose with her own before licking him on his muzzle. She then leaned back and stared up into his amber eyes.

Consummate their marriage? It did sound like something they were supposed to do... but how were they to do it? She only had the vaguest of ideas herself. The lioness narrowed one eye as she studied him then she slid her paws from his cheeks to his shoulders as she lowered her chin and half-narrowed both of her blue eyes seductively. "Consummate our marriage?" Again, she had no idea what it was they were to be doing. She was just going off the strange feeling in her gut. "And how do we... do that? What's it even mean?" Her voice was quiet and her words carelessly slurred as she stared at her teddy bear.

Bending his head down to stare at her, he had every desire to grab her paw and peel it away from her face, but he only ended up drunkenly (and slowly) starting to hover ever closer to her, seeing just how close he could get to her without his nose touching her. But she was too quick for him, pulling her paws away and reaching up to grab his face - it was like her paws were electrodes and there was fire burning at her touch, making his face red, his heart palpitate with nervousness and love. A wide grin spread on his lips as she booped him and then licked his nose and he chuckled, then watched her lean back down.

He really couldn't describe the feeling that was festering inside of him at that moment. He watched her expression change, her eyelids lower ever so slightly, ever so seductively, and everything inside of him felt like it was going to explode. Leon wanted to do a million things all at once, yet despite the sudden burst of activity in his nerves, he found himself frozen. Indecisive over what to do, or maybe what the proper thing to do was, or maybe that he was afraid that if he chose to do something it would be the wrong thing. He'd never been so conscious of his actions while inebriated like this before, but it felt like he no longer was (he knew he still was, though, because he still felt dizzy and his attempts at speaking would be half-baked).

Makyna didn't seem to know what he meant either, but that was okay, because Leon had an idea anyways. He hadn't realized that his expression gradually blanked, staring dumbly down at the beautiful lioness between his paws, but that was fine - in an instant, another wide grin took its place. "Maybe it's a little something like THIS!" Leon raised a paw and scooped it under Makyna's shoulders, laughing. He leaned back and hoisted her up with one arm, then wrapped the other around her and held her in close, planting gratuitous kisses on the side of her cheek and muzzle. Being so top heavy, it was only a matter of time before he lost his balance, and the bear eventually toppled over onto his back.

Landing with a heavy THUMP, Leon was still clutching the lioness, his arms wrapped tightly around her while his baritone laugh shook his chest. He hadn't realized the sudden surge of magic that cleaved a small chip of obsidian away from the spire on his shoulder.

There she lay beneath his large paws, eyes staring up at him with an indescribable feeling inside of her belly. She didn't know quite what it was, perhaps it was the alcohol bubbling around and making her feel so light headed and queer. In any case, it was a mystery, her mind was fuzzy with indecision as she waited on her husband to take action. His mind seemed to blank though as he looked down at her. The lioness didn't mind, however, she found it quite amusing. A purr rumbled up from her throat as she waited for something to happen.

Which it did... Leon was certainly never a boring gem.

She felt herself scooped up into his arms with kisses being planted all over her face. The lioness gave a hearty laugh, playfully attempting to push him away with no real force in her paws at all. After all, why should she truly wan to escape such lovely attention? "Ha ha! Leeooonnn! Ha! Stoppet! Hahaha!" She giggled and grinned and finally fell into a fit of laughter on top of the bear as they crashed to the ground. To return the favor she began to plant kisses upon his nose and his muzzle... Until she heard a sound in the semi-darkness of the cave.

Her ears lifted and eyes snapped towards the sound like a clinking stone. Was someone coming? Or was someone hatching? Her sharp eyes found the answer to both of these questions to be a "no". Instead what she saw was a shard of obsidian lying on the ground. "Oh, teddy bear, you chipped part of your pretty stoooone." The lioness reached out in an attempt to grab it and show him but being inebriated as she still was the lioness overreached and missed the gem shard. What she instead ended up doing was faceplanting right on top of the stone. Her head lifted and she found that it was now in her mouth.

Boy, if that just wasn't the funniest thing!

Makyna chuckled and turned her face to Leon as if to say "look at what I have!" but as she huffed air out of her lungs to laugh... Something else happened. She could feel some sort of tingling from her body and the stone. Even in her state she figured it best to drop it, which she did quickly. "Ha ha! It feels like its gotta life of its own! Heheehee! Perhaps we just consummated the stone!"

He made sure to plant a kiss on every inch of her face while he had her in his grip, he hadn't even noticed the chunk of stone that came free from his own until Makyna had spoken out loud. She must have seen it happen, or found it on the floor - and Leon nearly ignored it in favor of kissing her still. For a second, it was something that he just shoved to the back of his mind, deciding that he'd deal with it later. Then he actually started to think about it - it nagged on his mind, and Leon frowned slightly, pulling his face away from her. "Huh?" The bear rumbled, twisting his head around just as Makyna tried to reach for it, only to shove her face into the ground instead. "Wha!!" The bear with his arms still wrapped around her tugged her away from the ground, watching as she raised her head with the obsidian in her mouth.

His first instinct was to yell at Makyna not to eat it, because knowing how clumsy they were, he wouldn't put it past himself to bump her and cause her to accidentally swallow it, or worse, break it in her teeth. Thankfully she dropped it, and Leon's eyes followed the shard as it clattered to the ground again. His eyes widened, examining it. He could feel it too, the cloud of energy that suddenly swirled around it. "You think so??" Leon blinked and looked back at Makyna, still rather dumbfounded by the whole thing. How did they manage to do that? Didn't they need to... I don't know, focus their magic in order to do something like that? Oh, shit, what was going to happen now? Was it going to turn into another Gembound? His eyes nearly bulged out of his head at the thought, staring at Makyna as though she'd just killed a man.

"Do it again!!" The bear suddenly exclaimed. Yes Leon, that's exactly what you need to do. A+ logic. Mostly, he was curious; but some small part of him was driven to continue this act of consummating their magic because the idea of a being made by the two of them absolutely enchanted him. They were married now, and Makyna was his without a doubt, and maybe at this point he was just rubbing it in Cancer's face that he was capable of making children too, with Makyna. The bear squeezed his eyes shut, and sure enough another small shard cut free from his stone, joining its sibling on the floor. Leon blinked and turned slightly so that both he and Makyna lay on the floor, though his arms were still around her, his head was twisted awkwardly to gaze at the two shards.

The lioness gave her head a vigorous --almost comical-- nod. "Yeahyeah look!" She pointed a paw at the stone... Well, you couldn't really see it but there was certainly something different about it. It seemed to be crackling with some sort of energy that she'd given it. So strange and yet so awesome! Would this form into a chrysalis and make another child? Not only would this be a child but would it be a child with their own characteristics? Something of their very own? Makyna practically shivered in her fur with anticipation. How exciting was this!

The lioness took her eyes from the stone and turned them to the bear. She was practically about to leap out of her fur with excitement. "Yes yes! Again again!" She waited while Leon gave another shard and sat it on the ground next to the other. The lioness' leaned into his embrace as she stared down. Now what? What had she done last time? After pondering for a moment the lioness leaned down and snuffled at the new shard and quite by accident breathed onto it, causing a spark of magickal energy.

The lioness clapped her paws with excitement as she looked back at Leon. "I did it! I did it! No... wait... We... did it!" She laughed again but stopped when a thought occurred to her. "Wait... do you think I could do it too?" Without waiting for an answer she reached up and touched her stone. She could feel a spark of energy as the aquamarine seemed to pull away and let out a shard that clattered to the ground next to the two darker pieces of stone. "Lookit!" She seemed doubly happy now... but she could also feel her energy start to wane. Perhaps it was the alcohol but also seemed equally likely that it was their intense use of magick.

Makyna enthusiastically gestured to the stone, but by then Leon was already staring closely at it, as though trying to detect some kind of visible change. There really wasn't anything to it - it looked like a chip of obsidian that had sloughed off of his stone, only this time it didn't hurt. The last time this had happened was probably when he went tumbling down the ledge of the canyon on Monoceros with Cancer, and that time had hurt like Hell, so why didn't it hurt this time? He furrowed his brow, trying to figure it out. He had done it both times now, thanks to Makyna's encouragement, and it still didn't hurt. But he was starting to feel exhausted now; like the act of cleaving off his stone was physically draining. It probably took a lot of energy to do it without making it hurt, right? Of course, he was trying to make sense of all this with his brain still fuzzy and unable to focus, so it ended up just confusing the bear.

He watched her lean forward, and he still couldn't see a visible change but he felt the surge of magic, crackling like electricity in the air, and she leaned back and excitedly declared that she did it - no, they did it. Leon's eyes widened, then he chuffed with pride. Yes! Together, they had made two whole stones filled with life, and they were going to turn into baby Gembounds, if he was going off of what had transpired between Amaria and Cancer. "We did it!" He echoed, grinning widely while bumping his forehead against her cheek. Only now she wanted to try it too, so Leon only continued to stare dumbly at her until she freed a chunk of aquamarine from her own facial gem and settled it next to its obsidian siblings. "Did that hurt at all??" The bear asked, gawking at the shiny stone. It looked so much nicer than his obsidian... but he always liked looking at her pretty stone, with its vibrant shade of clear blue, like crystal water.

Well, now he had to try what Makyna had done the first two times. Only this time it was a little harder to synthesize his magic into something with no visible, tangible results. Zeroing in his focus on the aquamarine, Leon pursed his lips and attempted to push all his magic into it.

He really didn't know how it worked, but before he realized it, he could feel his own energy slowly dropping while infesting the aquamarine. It burned with magic just like the obsidian and Leon let loose an exhausted breath, dropping his head for a moment. "D'you think it worked?" Leon slurred, lifting his head again and freeing one arm from Makyna. He extended a claw outward at the stones, touching the aquamarine. Maybe he was imagining it, but it certainly felt... alive. Wide-eyed, he shuffled them all together into a small pile and clutched Makyna again, settling his thick muzzle down on the ground in front of them like a big, curious dog.

The lioness shook her head. Nope. It hadn't hurt at all, just felt weird but satisfying because she knew the result. Now feeling the full effects of her magick usage the lioness sagged into Leon's side, eyes starting to half close as she tried to keep her aquamarine gaze on the shards. Now, what? Did they just have to wait for the magick to take full effect? Whelp, she better get comfortable then. "Oh, Leon... I'm s'happy... We'll get t'have lil' babies like us an' they'll be soooooo cute!" Her voice was quieter and twice as slurred as alcohol and sleepiness took effect.

Her eyes began to flutter and head began to nod off as she tried her hardest to keep her eyes on the shards. "Love you, Leon..." She whispered quietly to him. Finally she could fight the sleep no longer and she fell into his side, snoring lightly as sleep overtook her.
