You don't know what your power has done to me
I want to know if I'll heal inside
I can't go on with a holocaust about to happen
Seeing you laughing another time

Paws treaded over the stone floor, pacing back and forth from one wall to the other. The softly glowing opal shard firmly held into a twine of vine jostled with each step the she-wolf made. Her long, fluffy tail lashed about as she moved and Heterochromia eyes stared at the floor she paced along. Auds flicked and moved, pushing forward only to fall back and pin against her head. Her shoulder hurt, numb yet burning with each heavy step she took. The fight with Vazi was still harsh on her mind, it hadn't gone as expected but at least.... at least she had proved to herself she could face him. Tears burned the back of her eyes, threatening to slip through her resolve as she continued her pacing. What she would give to go back in time and stop what had happened to Wynry. If only she knew exactly who had caused the sweet lamb's death, Arkrael would probably hunt them down even if it took her eight more cycles to do so. Should she ever find out who had done it, they had better pray Raheerah would be the first to claim their lives.
Hackles bristled at the thought. It was their fault for Wynry's death... and it was their fault Vazi had lost his mind. There fault that she would inevitably have to take the life of the one who claimed her heart. She had searched Monoceros plenty of times in attempts to find out who had done it, but to no avail did she uncover the culprit. It was infuriating knowing someone had gotten away with murdering such a sweet and gentle soul that had been Wynry. Arkrael knew that dwelling upon these thoughts would not solve anything. Nothing she did or could ever do would ever give her the chance to change the fate that had befallen the lamb, Vazi, and herself.
All she could do was face it with a steady gaze and protect the innocent from the wrath Vazi was causing. Memories flashed before her minds eye, helping to shred what little left she had of her heart. The agony was far too much for her to bare, but she knew it would never stop. Just like she would never stop loving him. Part of her was disgusted by it all and all she wanted to do was steel away her emotions and shove them aside. She wanted to hurt him like he had hurt her. She would tear his beating heart from his chest and devour it in front of him before death's cruel claws could rip him from these caves.
Anger coursed through her like a white-hot wave of fire. Burning her straight to the core and it seemed nothing she did could quell the blooming rage. Her hurt and turmoil finally reaching it's limit and spilling over into the dormant rage that had been brewing since the moment Vazi had pointing his tines at her in threat. Her gem seemed to respond to the intense emotions that was suddenly rolling through her and hummed gently. Sand instantly began to pick up around her, gaining speed as they sand slowly formed into sharp and deadly glass that now spun around Arkrael.
It had startled Arkrael for a moment before she gave a heavy sigh and soothed her magic away. The little shards of glass that had time to form clattered to the ground with loud clanks before it all fell silent within the tunnel once more. Slowly Arkrael lowered her rump to the ground and pinned her ears against her head. "Vazi..." She whimpered softly to herself, peering towards the Pisces Entrance that would inevitably lead to Orion where she was sure the stag had fled. Her vision began to blue and finally Arkrael clenched her eyes shut, no longer wishing to see. She desperately tried to clear her thoughts, no longer wishing to hear those either. Try as she might, though, it didn't do as she wished and she was unable to keep a few drops of tears from falling.
"You leave me no choice Vazi...I can't let you hurt anyone else..." She whispered to the silent cave. Speaking as if he would actually hear what she was saying. No one would hear it, no one but the shadow that lingered only a few paces away. The gleaming amber eyes went unnoticed by Arkrael as she lost the strength in her legs and ultimately crumbled to the ground and remained there, legs stretched out in front of her as her muzzle was nestled between the two limbs. Her tail curled tightly around her side and it wasn't long before she was oncee again lost to her thoughts. It wasn't until the sudden scent of a neew creature came wafting down the tunnel carried on some strange breeze. Auds jumped up instantly and Arkrael swung her head up. Her top lip curled to expose the fronts of her fangs as she searcheed the tunnel for the intruder. Not that he was intruding on territory. The thing was simply intruding in on her! And she was in no mindset to have any social skills at that moment. "Who's there!" She snarled out lowly, ears turning and twisting every which way to attempt hearing any made noise.

You'll never know why your face has haunted me
My very soul has to bleed this time
Another hole in the wall of my inner defenses
Leaving me breathless, the reason I know....
