It was getting too crowded in here.
The cub was aggitaged with the lack of wiggle room he now had in his protective shell and began to lash at it as best he could in the gooey substance that inhibited his mobility even more. His paws knocked against the shell a few times before he heard an unfamiliar sound, causing the cub to pause momentsrily before trying again, even harder. This time, the garnet stone gave way to his force and cracked along the face, spilling the black cub onto the floor in a coughing, wet mess. He stayed there forba moment ir so coughing, letting his lungs acclimate to the new oxygen.
Finally, he lifted his head a bit only to find out it was fsr heavier than it had been just a few moments ago. His head wobbled from side to side, the garnet horns weighing his head down amd causing him to take a few minutes to balance it. Without his mane, his horns looked too large for the cubs body, but bu the time hell be fully grown, they will fit him perfectly. For now, it would just difficult to not knock things around with their corkscrew shape.
His lungs acclimated and his sapphire eyes cleared up and he now saw where he had hatched. There was foliage all around and the air felt sticky and hot, hard to breathe really, but he didnt know much else. He looked around the room, still flopped half of his hips half on his chest. woah... his eyes took in everything he could see and it was astounding. He turned to look back at the stone he had fallen from but realized he had moved away, probably sliding in the thick goo. He tried to gather his legs under him then, hoping that these things could help him get back to the stone and hoping even more that he didnt have to slide around in this slime everywhere.
