So there's plenty of wolf stock. There's plenty of horses. Some foxes. Some big cats.

But.... how does one find good stock for animals that aren't the "usual" popular animal species? ... That's actually high quality enough

Birds? Reptiles? etc.
i always use this <:

flickrcc
flickr's super good and there's some good stuff on deviantart
flickr and deviantart are usually good enough for me, sometimes i use the search engine from the creative commons site. but if you're still aren't getting high quality stock at that point, then you may just have to make due, get creative. lemme tell you, one Fisher avatar alone was a pain in the butt lmfao.

Or if you're really desperate, you could head on down to the zoo with a camera. Its easier to get nice pics of reptiles and birds that way.
you guys are awesome, thank you!
also!!!

check out eol.org! they have only stuff that's avaliable for public use (otherwise stated) they mostly get stuff from wikipedia commons/other places that are free use
