The tapir child spent most of her time exploring this blue place, already have seen another gemchild who ran around like some of those cave runners and saw other faces as well but she wished to see more. So much energy flowed thou this room and it kept her feeling so energized. Since waking up she never felt that need for a long east, only short naps. Long nose reached up to sniff the air before turning about and head in the direction she came. The tapir didn't wish to get lost since this room is so vast.

Her spots helped her blend in a bit to the rocks around her, but that didn't mean much if she continued to move around like she did. A cluster of glowing rocks caught her attention. Pretty. Stepping over to get a better look, deep purple eyes stared longingly into the crystals. Where did they come from? The ground beneath her feet?

She used her nose to softly touch the rock, feeling all the little edges on its surface and the soft hum of energy it gave off. So strange, but it was almost soothing really. Penelope decided this was a good place to pause on her day. Tucking her legs under her, she rested her head on the ground and gazed into the soft glow of the stone.

there's a beautiful storm in your eyes

the brute had been feeling accomplished as of lately evident in the rambunctious swinging of his tail and the foolish smile that had been marring his face. polaristown was coming on well and he had plans for its future, the smile on his face would just get wider the more his wide imagination wondered.

lately he had not been doing nothing for the new settlement instead tennessee and cayenne was doing all the hard work but at least he was present around polaris; that counted for something did it not? the jolly look on his face would continue to shine brightly until the sight of a stranger would catch his attention. ocean blue eyes would scan the gembound to see what it was doing before he would make himself approach the stranger.

upon getting closer, the realization that it was a child would hit him and the smile that had been on his face earlier would return just like that.

"yo," looking at the younger gembound brought a certain feeling of excitement to him due to the fact that it reminded him of his soon to come siblings, they're going to be so cute! taking a quick moment to look over the child once more, the lion would not wait for her to respond and would instead open his mouth to talk again;

"what you doing there?"

The humming of the stone was like song, sweet and soft to her ears. I wonder what it says? Leaning in closer, she tried to hum along with it and keep in tune. The tapir child's voice was tiny, a little shaky at first but after a few moments she managed to carry the tune that she believed the humming made. All was calm, so still until the voice behind her broke the still. What was she doing? Lifting her head up, the child turned to see a feline coming her way.

"Singing with the stone, do you hear it too?" Instantly a smile formed on her face as she other came closer. The little one was petite, covered in a soft brown coat covered in stripes. Coming to her feet, she approached the other; seeming to not hesitate in her greeting. Deep down, she knew he did not mean her any harm. Penelope had that talent it seemed; a rather good judge of character.

the answer to his question would somewhat puzzle him, singing with the stone? blue eyes would look on as the younger gembound continued to listen to whatever sound the stones must have been making. quintus had always known that the stones in origin cave was not normal, they all looked different in appearance, all of them always had something appealing to them; and there must have been a reason as to why all gembounds had one located in a certain part of their body. the lion had always been curious about the creation of his kind but when he went around asking nobody really had an answer to his questions. he would look on as the tapir would advance towards him with no kind of fear evident in her gait, instantly he would summon his magic and cast the red sense spell. within a few moments he began to feel and hear what most could not and the sound of the stones would also eventually be heard. the song was soothing and the vibrations ran throughout his body causing him to be in a stunned state, "yes." quintus would allow the melody to conrtinue whilst a charming smile would be directed towards penelope, "they're loud and clear."

A smile formed on the child's face once the other heard the singing as well. Glad she wasn't the only one to hear the songs and wished to one day better understand them. For now, Penelope would see things if she touched rocks and walls, images and voices but not with each thing she touched. As if they were telling her things and helping her understand this world a bit at a time. "My name is Penelope . . at least that's what I feel is right." Lifting her eyes to the lion, a smile still on her face. "What can I call . . . you?"

doubt aroused inside of his head as to whether he was senile but the lion did indeed believe there were certain mysteries in origin cave in which gembounds were not knowledgable of, quintus had always been curious about such things and due to that he had made it a goal of his to uncover the mystery sorrounding origin cave. whilst humming along to the gallant song, it seemed he had almost forgotten about the younger gembound before him and her voice almost managing to elude his ear. "yes," an exhale of breath would escape his mouth as he would look into the sky before looking down, sounds so much like mother's voice. eventually the spell would deactivate and he would give the tapir an apologetic nod at the realization that he was not answering her, a charming chuckle of amusement coming out his mouth to ease the awkward moment. "the name's quintus darling," the words would come out his mouth in pride and it seemed as if he had beamed up at the hearing of his name, taking a moment to look at his sorroundings he would eventually focus on penelope once more, "got any friends or family around here?" obviously the knight in shining armor felt obliged to know, he didn't want the little one getting hurt.

The young gembound gave a smile, "Hello Quintus." And would nod to the question. "I live on the ranch that Tennessee takes care of." It was a nice place and the child enjoyed it there. All the critters, but she sometimes enjoying just leaving out on her own to explore and touch the stones to see if they had anything to say. The tapir was even planning a trip down one of the tunnels soon, curious about where they lead.
