Ever since Troy had gotten his feet under him, the colt had been impossible to keep still. He'd left Jasmine to explore Eridanus, and in doing so, discovered a tunnel. Courageous and not wanting to put his dear tall lady in any danger, the colt ventured on alone. Perhaps she'd follow, perhaps not. They weren't glued together- but come the dark time, when the lights dimmed each day, he'd always return to her side, or her to his. The colt felt confident he'd be home in no time, so he left Eridanus behind to venture through the stone tunnel and into a new part of the caves.
The colt came to a new cave after some time. It stretched out high and far, sparkling with twinkling diamonds above, gleaming streaks of quartz below. Ahead, a city, in ruins now, sprawled out before him. A tower, a stage, a throne. The colt was compelled to carry on, his pace becoming a trot as he navigated the new area.
"Wow!" He breathed, coming to stand beside the circular walls and pillars surrounding many carved shapes, all alike and in rows, surrounding what he could only describe as a pit. Carefully, he started down the stairs, headed for the center. "What is this place...?" Jasmine would love it. Maybe if she saw the pretty twinkles in the ceiling, she'd find some joy out of her height, instead of fear. Wistful, the colt admired the stars above and settled in the center of the arena, one hoof lifted in relaxation.
