She was almost done sewing the wound shut, and she listened to Ark talk with half an ear. She was still nervous, still jittery, still afraid she would hurt her friend even more, but she had to do it, she had to keep calm and work with a steady hand.
"A new friend...so her rib is healed okay?" She asked, distracted, her eyes on the stitches. "That's really good news..."
She was done, and she knotted the thread and cut the ends with her gem finger with a decided snick, and she tucked the needle and thread away in her pack. Now that the scary part was over, all she had to do was cover the now closed wound with goop that would seal it with powerful numbing and anti-infection salves. She got to work on making that in her acorns, and when she was done, she slathered it all on the stitched up wound.
"I'm sure you'll miss her terribly," She commented, getting a long stretch of clean cloth from her pack that was nice and breathable oddly stretchy. The things she found in Orion... "I'm going to wrap this around your neck so it doesn't tear open and you remember to not move around all that much."
She placed one end on the goop, satisfied that it stayed still, and she jumped down from Ark's back and around her, till it looped, and she did so three times till the wound was covered, and she cut off the excess with her sharp gem knife, tucking it and tying it as efficiently as she knew how.
She stood in front of Ark now, her hands on her hips, looking over her work. "You need to come to me again to get the stitches out, okay? Cause your skin doesn't like foreign things. It needs time to close most of the way, but not all of the way, so you need to find me along my path here once it starts getting unbearably itchy, alright? You can't scratch it, either."
She sighed. "Who hurt you, anyway?"
