Tal'at was lying. Eve knew he was lying and it made her even more upset - Tal'at couldn't even see herbs, could he? Besides - what would a couple of plants do in a situation like this?

The crow flinched and moved her beak to place it back by Vicktor's ear, silent as she waited for the jaguar's eyes to close over for the last time. She hadn't been with anyone who was dying before - unless you counted rats and rabbits, of course.

But she didn't really. She hadn't actually befriended any of them. And she had eaten them afterwards. She flinched at the thought and nestled into Vicktor's fur quietly, closing her eyes.

'Child don't despair. You'll be alright.'

Tal'at voice was calmer down, soothing to Vicktor to know he was forgiven. He hadn't meant to do so much damage, so much evil. But everything would be alright now wouldn't it? Tal'at was going to heal him...with plants? Vicktor didn't think much on how they would help in such a situation. Never mind the fact that Tal'at couldn't truthfully see them really. None of those small thoughts seemed to be of much importance now. With a deep breath he inhaled the buffet of familar scents around him, his loving friends. Tal'at would help with healing and Eve, oh she was there for moral support, a very important task. Especially in the face of such a mess that was Vicktor.

'You will live. Get some rest. Sleep for now...'

Calm words that held such promise. Vicktor was so afraid to let his eyes close. So unnerved until those simple words were spoken. He trusted both their judgments. He would survive, he had to of course. With a final breathe he murmured out to them. Shutting his eyes with a pained smile of trust on his maw.

"Thank you...my friends"

"Speech"

"Thought"

@Eve @Talat
Tal'at tilted his blind head at the voice of the cat, ignoring the worry stirring in his guts. He knew that some creatures had to die, that death was inevitable... but he did not want to bare witness to it so personally.

The tiny bat wriggled over to his friends, settling into soft, plush fur and nuzzled into Eve, quietly.

"I am sorry," he murmured to his feathered companion, not knowing what else they could do but just... Wait. It was painful, but they'd never actually find a healer, or herbs, in time.
