Willow fluttered in from Polaris in silence. She felt the need to practice her magic once more - or at least one spell, which to her, was particularly important. She began to pace up and down the empty tunnel, in search of rocks.

Slowly, she picked up two - both the similar size. She hadn't been able to move them very far; but she was sure that with practice it would end better.
Carefully, she placed one down. How far should she try first? She had been able to do it once before, when they were right next to each other, but at a distance she had failed. She paused briefly and stepped forward exactly three steps, before placing the other down. She nodded at her work.

She breathed in and she closed her eyes before placing her talon on one of the rocks.
She flinched as the rock shifted under her claw, promptly replaced by the second rock. She nodded, more to herself, and shifted.

She pulled the rock back further until they were about eight feet apart. She paused, staring at them for a moment, before she shut her eyes and tried again.
