Although Alpha knew quite well that Omega was far from perfect, there was a small fraction of perfection in the child. Omega was flawlessly loyal, and already Alpha could imagine a beautiful red ribbon around both of their paws, tying them together with the bond of a lifetime. Yes, he could never abandon this wolf, the boy who had put so much faith in him so effortlessly. Alpha knew the others would not come so easy... If they came at all. For a moment, in the stillness of the cavern, Alpha considered the idea that they were entirely alone.
No, that couldn't be. He decided that to himself, and he arched his back in a stretch. There was a word that flickered to his mind and touched at his tongue, but he withheld it from Omega-- leaders did not need to thank their followers. He would so appreciation with his actions and protection, not with hollow phrases.
"Good," he breathed, smiling from ear to ear.
"I have an idea, watch..." Glancing around, he trotted up to the picture, leaving Omega's side for a brief moment.
As he reached the image, he hopped up, awkwardly bringing a paw up to stand against the wall, placing his pads on top of the scratched out part. Closing his eyes, his gem glistened on his tail and he tried to summon that power he had touched before. As he focused, fungus began to pop up along the drawing, spreading wildly in small bunches to fill the cracks and edges, spreading around and framing the carving.
